Three Things I'm Grateful For This Year!

in STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE2 months ago (edited)

Today I am here to participate in the contest organized by @goodybest through the Steem For Betterlife Community.

We are grateful for many positive things in our lives. Gratitude is a powerful positive emotion that recognizes all the good things in our lives, no matter how small or large. When someone helps us, we express our gratitude by saying "Thank you" and feeling joyful. Gratitude allows us to be positive and build strong relationships. We know that being appreciative is beneficial for our mental, emotional, and physical health.

When I think of three things I'm grateful for this year, the first thing that comes to mind is the blessing of my senior boss. Last year, one of my relative’s children suffered leukemia. When he struggled with his life, his parents needed a large sum of money to save him from death. But, because they don't have enough money, they seek assistance from others. They produced a notice requesting financial assistance, informing others about their child's disease, condition, account numbers, and other information.

When I shared this notice with my friend list, one of my senior bosses inquired about more information and credited a large sum to that account while also sending me the receipt. At that moment, we were all deeply grateful to him.

That child is now fully recovered, but my senior boss is suffering from a deadly disease and needs serious surgery. We have nothing to do right now other than wish him a speedy recovery from his surgery. So, last month, we held a Bodhi Puja and blessed him with successful surgery and a rapid recovery. Because he is a wealthy person, our money is currently useless for him; but we are confident that our blessing will be extremely beneficial to him. So, in gratitude for his financial assistance with our child's sickness, we blessed him by offering a Bodhi Puja.

Secondly, I am greatly grateful for my beloved dog. My husband and I are the only ones living in my house because my older son has married and lives in a different house, and my younger son has gone abroad for higher education. In my old age, my beloved dog has a special place in my heart since it gives me love and friendship.

My pet is constantly with me, therefore I've never felt lonely, and its playful nature and loyal heart make me happy. I believe that even in my old age, my Beenu brings me joy and energy because its love is unconditional and delivers many gifts into my life. Therefore, I am grateful to my pet, Beenu, for keeping me happy, active, and less lonely. For this reason, I pay close care to him and provide him with the required food and medicine in time.

The third thing I can mention is my appreciation for my helper. In my village, there is a very poor lady called Siriyawathi. I hire her for my day-to-day routine as needed. She helps me with gardening, cleaning, and cooking, and she ensures my safety while my husband stays away at home. Most of the time, I assist her by providing clothing, food, and money in addition to my fees.

Recently, my scheme members organized a pilgrimage to Anuradhapura Puja Town. Siriyawathi informed me that she is anxious to participate, but the problem is money. I told her not to worry about the money; I'd take care of everything as she prepared to join. In gratitude for her assistance in my daily life, I gave her the necessary clothing, transportation fees, and all other expenses. I had to spend a lot of money for her enjoyment, but seen her joy at participating in such a journey made me very pleased.

I would like to invite my friends @miftahulrizky, @priya2205, and @enamul17 to participate in this contest.👈

Good things will never cease happening to good people; you have a good heart, and that is why you usually get help when the need arises. As for your kind-hearted boss, I wish him a successful surgery and a speedy recovery. Continue doing good and goodness will remain in your household. Success!
