This year has been like a roller coaster of emotions. Some days have been so sad and some has been so joyful, you feel like screaming your lungs out. In todays post, I’ll be sharing my reflections of my year 2024 and I hope that you enjoy it. Let me invite @basil20, @us-andrew and @ahsansharif for the challenge.

My year started off with a job interview from a university that I applied for, last year. It was a computer base test. I was looking forward for the next step of the physical interview but unfortunately, I didn’t get any call from them. I just had to move on with my life.

Around march, there was a big fire outbreak in rivers state, that took many lives. A tanker loaded with lots of fuel in a bad road, collided with a smaller truck. To make matter worse, there was heavy traffic jam that night due to the bad road. We were at home, when we heard the heavy explosion. Lots of life’s was lost and properties destroyed that day as a result of the explosion. The shocking part is that, the road is still in its deplorable state till now and haven’t been fixed.

As the year progressed, I had to go for some checkup in the hospital because I have been having pains around the side of my ribs for some years now. I assumed it was cold, i took medicine but it wasn’t working. Instead, the pains started moving towards my waist region. If I sit on the floor, the pains around my waist becomes so bad, I’d to go to the hospital for treatment and also did some X-rays. From what I was told it was a muscle tear as a result of heavy lifting during exercise.

This year was also a year I lost my grandma and also my cousin. My grandma lived a fulfilled live. Had 12 children, grandchildren and great grand kids. While my cousins death came like a shock to everyone. He went for an operation, which turned out fine at first and in matter of hours, he started complaining of pains again around the same area. Before the doctor would do anything, he went into shock and that was how we lost him. I really felt so bad. A young and energetic dad of 3 lovely children. They were bury the same month but just a week apart each other.

June 24th was my birthday. It was like every other day. But I was really surprised when a friend of mine took me out. It’s actually a lady. Is on rare occasions you see a Nigerian lady willing to pathway with her money. You can hardly hear a Nigeria lady say “she has money” even if she’s the president of the country. I really appreciated her for the kind gestures. I have big plans for her this Christmas Day.

September made me a year in Steemit since I returned back from my long exile. I was so happy that I was able to achieve 2000 steem power because I know how important it is. I also introduced 2 new friends of mine into the system @lovelystar and @ochelebe this year. Unfortunately, they haven’t been so consistent on Steemit.
November |
---|
The best part of the year was November. I got a new job in a bank. I was really happy. It was something I never expected. It was last year I applied for the job but I didn’t hear from them. As usual, I thought I wasn’t selected but God was so kind to crown my year with his goodness. November 1st I was called to know if I’m still interested in the job.
Despite the challenges that this year came with, I’m glad that I ended it well…
