Provision of Direct Cash Assistance to the Poor for the second quarter from April to June

To support the achievement of sustainable national development goals, every village in Indonesia for the 2022 fiscal year is required to budget a village fund of at least 40% to carry out village activities without hunger and poverty. In it there are activities of giving cash to the poor.

We know that as a result of the COVID-19, many villages have slumped in managing the community's economy. So that the village does not become weak, a breakthrough from the central government is needed to revive the people's passion in life.

The Minister of Finance Regulation for the 2022 fiscal year has been issued as the highest legal umbrella for villages in budgeting village funds to be budgeted in the (APBG) as direct cash assistance to be distributed to communities that meet the criteria set by the government, including;

1. The extreme poor
2. People who lost their jobs
3. People affected by covid-19
4. People who have family members who have chronic diseases
5. People who have been cut off from social safety nets or have stopped receiving assistance from local, provincial and central governments.
6. Living family members who have continued age (elderly)

One of the 6 (six) criteria is obtained in the community, then the person concerned is entitled to receive assistance from village funds which must be included in the village regulation itself. The volunteer team had to go the extra mile in recording the communities that met the criteria, so that no one was left behind.

After collecting data, it must be discussed in a special village meeting to discuss determining the beneficiary families from village funds for 12 (twelve) months or until there is a new technical guideline.

The areas I assisted in empowering only a few villages that had distributed the assistance to the community according to the money entered in the village treasury account. There are still many who have not received village fund transfers from the state treasury account to the village treasury account.

The community is very enthusiastic about waiting for the provision of sustenance from the government to be able to spend their daily needs. The process of distributing cash assistance is gradual, starting from January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December. Once distributed, each family will get as much as 900 thousand rupiah.

Thus, the goal of sustainable development will be maintained until the community's economy really recovers from the worst so far with the help of the government. This is also included in the first and second SDGS as the government's priority for the 2022 fiscal year.
