Weekly Reflections #25: "Seasonal Favorites"
Hello, friends welcome to my post in which I have discussed "Seasonal Favorites" as part of my participation in this 👉contest organized by @damithudaya
Favorite winter food
My favorite winter food is jollof rice which is made with chicken and is still very hot. As a normal norm, I like eating rice such as rice and stew, rice and beans, or fried rice. But when it comes to the winter season, it is hot jollof rice that I prefer eating the most. Winter food had to be very hot because of how cold the winter is and eating hot jollof rice would relieve me of cold.
Destination
During winter, I like traveling to places, and lodging in a hotel is what I usually do each time I travel to my destination in winter. During winter, a lot of things usually take place in my country Nigeria, and as well state which I do go for. My destination is usually Calabar to witness the Calabar carnival which I do lodge in a hotel for some days. The reason why I do lodge is to have convenience, feel relaxed, and secure.
Favorite winter/traditional activity
As I said earlier, during winter I usually go to the Calabar Carnival, for this year I didn't attend the carnival. However, the favorite winter/traditional activities that I like attending to watch or that inspired me are those traditional activities where people dance and showcase their culture and traditions just like the one that happens in the community where I am staying.
It is usually fun, each time I see people in their traditional attires dancing and shouting. In the case of the community where I am staying, people wear different types of costumes on their bodies holding sticks, and dancing. Some would be pouring fire out of their mouths which is the type of traditional activity that I like during winter.

You definitely have a great time. Sometimes we need these types of reflection so that we can know how our life is going and what we can do to correct it so that our life can become much more better
Ooo that Jollof rice looks so delicious. Your destination pick, especially the excitement surrounding the Calabar Carnival, really brought the festive vibe. I love those unique traditional activities.
Thanks for the entry and Happy new year!
