Weekly Reflections #30: What makes a place feel like Home?

Greetings my dear friends of Steemit and STEEM FOR BETTERLIFE

To truly appreciate the importance of home, you must either live in a boarding school or work outstation. In my case I have experienced both conditions.

I spent a whole year in a boarding school at the age of twelve. Normally there were examinations before most of the long holidays like summer and New Year's Eve. I used to pack my trunk as early as the beginning of the examination by putting my books one by one. I used to live a minimalist life. I really felt true joy when I found the arrival of my elder cousin before the day we returned home. Similarly I felt nausea the day I left home for boarding again.

I also worked outside about 250 km away from my home for about six years. During that period every weekend I used to return home. Every Saturday I reached home late at night and returned the following Monday morning. Most of the time I was accompanied by one of my colleagues.

Although leaving home for an outing can be pleasurable after a few days, we start to miss our home and feel exhausted. It is fascinating to reach the home railway station or airport from outstation.

All shelters are simply a structure, but a home is a place of belonging. In every person's life there is a big desire to build a house of his own. In my case I couldn't make a house of my own. As there's a small vacant land in my present premises I daydream of making a small house there. I also want to stay on an elevated floor. I also think of making at least one room on an elevated floor to eliminate noise.

I strongly believe like the universal law attraction is applicable to the members of the family also. As we create more love and trust the more is our attraction and bonding of living in home.
