It is best to build pigeon houses on elevated terrain. so that dogs are incapable of attacking other animals, such as cats. The residence should have an abundance of light and airflow. Precautions must be made to stop wind, chilly draughts, and rainfall from getting inside. Packing boxes, rod nets, bamboo, thin tin, and light wood can all be used to create cages. Each pair of pigeons is given 30 cm. The house should be built long, 30 cm wide, and 30 cm high. Pigeon houses can be single-story or multi-story. 12 cm ahead of every room on the floor. D10 cm; balcony and each room: 10 cm. Keep a door that fits well. An east-facing home is preferable. The entrance of the house should be where food and water containers are kept. In front of the house, hay and dry grass should be stored. so that the pigeons might construct a nesting area for their eggs.
Pigeons varieties:
Pigeons come in two varieties. In particular, A. Squab or meat-producing breeds, such as Homer, Texona, Silver King, Ham Kacha, Cowra, Dauka, and Gola.
Breeds that are popular for recreational purposes include Peacock, Siraji, Lahori, Fantail, Giribaz, Jalali, and Lotan. The mesmerising shriek of hummingbirds as they soar captures people's attention.
Recognise the pigeons
It is necessary to understand pigeon breeds as well as male and female pigeons (paira and pairi). Comparing pigeons of the same breed that are little older, they are slightly smaller. There could be a small crown on a pigeon's head. Pheasants sing. A pigeon will enlarge its neck and body hair, call out, and draw in its approaching companion. Every pigeon is peaceful. Larger pigeons are found in improved breeds. Usually adorned with feathers, the legs have a lovely appearance.
Cost and accessibility
Pigeons are sold in marketplaces, stores, and both public and private farms. When purchasing pigeons, consider their age (4-5 months), breed, colour, and overall health and strength. At the village market, two running pigeons of the native breed cost 500–600 taka. 800-1500 Tk is an advanced breed pair. 1500-3000 Tk for a pair of exotic breeds. For many uses, like as racing, a pair of pigeons might cost anywhere between Tk 1500 and Tk 1 lakh.

Pigeons typically consume cown, jowar, rice, kalai, broken maize, wheat, peas, kesari, and cown. The normal adult pigeon eats between fifty and sixty grammes of grain every day. 20–30 grammes of food are required for small pigeons and 30–35 grammes for bigger pigeons. For physical growth, reproduction, and overall health, 15–16% of a diet that is not vegetarian is necessary. A grit mixture made of mussel shell black, limestone, brick powder, bone powder, and salt is required for the rapid growth, bone strength, and nutrition young pigeons as well as the health of senior pigeons and hard egg shells. In addition, it's a good idea to give the pigeons some raw veggies each day. Every two weeks for one or two days, a vitamin mixture of any kind can be added to diet to reduce pigeon diseases.
