Steem for a Better Life- The Diary Game - Tuesday, August 28, 2024

It is midafternoon here but I really wanted to write something and all I could come up with is what happened yesterday, better said, yesterday's diary. it was a nice enough day no clouds and I decided to make the most of it by going out for my daily walk. First of all I stopped at a local food place and had breakfast. Then I really started to walk.

I covered around six kilometres before I got to my destination, the waterfront and its park and pool hall.
I had a good time there involving myself in conversation. After about an hour there I decided to go to the mall and this is where things started going awry for me. Now as I walk every day I am very careful when I cross the streets, you never know when a crazy car driver can come at full speed. But somehow, on a very quiet street I took a step and a taxi nearly hit me, luckily this area has a lot of guards so nobody drives too fast. Anyway the taxi driver was going really slow so no harm done or received.

Of course after the incident I took to thinking about what had happened and I came to the conclusion that I did everything I usually do when I cross a street, I automatically look at both ways of traffic. But today i missed this taxi and what worries me is that I don't know if it was a one off thing or if I am losing my peripheral vision, I do know I am going deaf, but having that kind of problem with my vision could be troubling.

After this any thing the day could throw at me of course became a trifle, I continued my walk, went to the mall, had an ice cream cone, and went back home where I watched a qualifier for the Champions League. Immediately after that we had a heavy thunderstorm with lots of rain, and it did not stop until night. So I just kept on my laptop, hearing music until I started nodding off and finally went to sleep.
