WORLD SMILE PROJECT: PHILLIPINES TYPHOON ODETTE EMERGENCY RESPONSE
A week ago a strong typhoon Odette stroke Mactan Island Philippines, it destroyed hundreds of houses and affected thousand of life. We cannot stay put and let it goes without doing anything to help our fellow steemit friends in the Philippines. Base on information published by @bien as you can read here, World Smile Project which is an International Charity Acts based in Indonesia start has been starting to communicate with Bien to seek the possibility of a response.
As our World Smile Project Team both Venezuela and Indonesia communicate with @bien, hence we have developed an Action Plan for an emergency response to Bien home town. The budget analysis has been developed by @irawandedy and we are green to proceed to the next stage. As the international dedicated charity project, World Smile Project will stand together to support as much as we can anywhere possible.
The initial plan of the response is providing 150 roof sheets which will cost about 200 SBD at the current price, as it is the most needed item at the moment in the location after a deep briefing with @bien. We are gathering the team there and we open the door to all parties who want to be involved in the project. Anyone interested to join the Philippines steemit team please contact Bien as he is in charge of the implementation and administration there. He won't be able to work alone to arrange the whole thing by himself.
The shelter is one of the initial response plans besides food and other possible response programs that may be implemented. The decision was made because it is the raini days recently and the roof has long gone by the typhoon as you can see in the picture below:
The second stage of the response is Food Support Program which is under budget evaluation, and will be implemented soon after the emergency response completed. Basically the food program has ever been implemented by @traderpaw on behalf of the World Smile Project in another part of Phillipines.
it would be better if other parties can collaborate the program for better and wider implementation of the emergency response. Should you see the World Smile Project is valuable charity act, you can support us by sharing the reward to @worldsmile account.
