I am done with my exams, and by God's grace, I have been promoted to my final year, just that the stress of project writing is immense.

Anyways, I will like to enter a SEC season 9 week 3 contest based on KINDNESS.

There's no doubt that showing kindness is very important in our every day Life but this fact has been shielded from the eyes of some persons probably because of some toxic experience or ignorance.

It is important to show kindness, because according to eminem, "what goes around comes around just like the blade of a chainsaw"

WHAT WAS THE ACT OF KINDNESS THAT IMPACTED YOUR LIFE? DESCRIBE THE SITUATION

Well, i have witnessed many kind deeds from plenty people all over but the one I will never forget is the kindness I got from Steemit.

Some time back, I was scammed of my school fees and I didn't know what to do because telling my parent that I was scammed would make them see me as someone who is not trustworthy with the affairs of life. So I decided to tell one of my friends I met in Steemit. The funny thing is that this person in question is from Ghana while I am From Nigeria and we have not seen each other, not even for once, well except on our WhatsApp status.

His name is siehphlex also called @phlexygee in Steemit. When I told him about it, he empathized as well as sympathized with me, and offered to help me with some funds so that I could at least take care of my self before I could stand again. I was stunned and dumbfounded because how could someone I have never seen before, offer to help a total stranger? I didn't wanted to accept, but due to I was in need of the help, I accepted reluctantly.

Thanks be to God that that storm passed, but I will forever be grateful to him for helping me when I was in need and this means that he is a friend indeed.

What were the emotions you were feeling at that time?

Well, at that time, I did not know the emotion to put up because I was having mixed emotions.. I didn't expect him to do what he did.

One thing about me is that I don't like having things for free, and I like to work for my things irrespective of how hard the work could be but seeing something come to me like that made me rethink my way of life.

Truely, there are kind people out there, even in Steemit.

How did that act impact you? (Financially, emotionally, etc.)

That act really changed my scope of life.. I don't collect charity, I see it as if someone is belittling me because I have my hands as well as my legs to work for my money or anything I want, but that action by @phlexygee changed me entirely.. now I can collect free things after thinking about it carefully.

What are the lessons you learned from that incident? Did it change your perspective on kindness and the way you treat others?

It didn't changed my perspective of kindness perse, but it taught me that "you don't know where your hel is coming from, so you should be cool with everyone."

Had it been I'm not good with him, he wouldn't have done nothing for me.

Did you manage to pass it forward by showing kindness to others? How

Yes, I managed to pass it forward.

my chat with the person
Here in school, some persons are not always financially stable, so I offer to give them a treat at times if I have some money.

There was a day that one of my Coursemate had an asthmatic attack with epitaxis, I had to help out and take him to the hospital, for expert management, and I was the one that ran the errands, including calling the nurse in charge, getting a folder e.t.c

After he recovered, he thanked me but I told him to pass on the kindness to three persons, and asked those three persons to pass it on to three persons each, and so on.

CONCLUSION

It is important to be kind, because just as Solomon in the Bible said, cast your breads upon many waters, and after sometime they will find their way back to you.

Irrespective of anything, it is important to show kindness to the world, because it will surely find its way to you.

Thank you for reading through, I am inviting @josepha @jueco and @ronnindboss to join the contest.
