At about eight hours on 11th December 1996, Peter heard a shout; Peter! It was Salome calling Peter. Peter ran to the room, what was wrong? He asked. Labor, Labor, Labor! Salome shouted. Peter rushed Salome to Saint Luke's Hospital, and she was admitted.

Everything will be fine, sir, you don't need to worry, your wife will give birth soon, Doctor Paul said to Peter and Peter replied in a nervous tone; it is okay doctor, I trust in God, I know she will give birth safely. The labor was hard, one hour passed, then two, till hours passed without Salome giving birth. All these while, Peter was wandering, moving from one corner of the hospital to another, till about twenty hours of that day.

Congratulations Mr. Peter, your wife just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Doctor Paul said. Peter Leep like a deer, hugs Doctor Paul and says; Thank you very much, Doctor. Before Paul could even reply, Peter was not found, and he ran to his wife.

With happiness depicted on her face, and tears of joy dripping from her eyes, Salome lowly said to Peter; have you seen your daughter? Yes, she is very beautiful, thank you very much, Peter replied in tears, but that of Joy. God has Favoured us with a daughter, our first fruit, and I see this baby as a blessing in our marriage, as such she is Named Favour. Salome and Peter hug themselves and together they give their daughter a warm welcome kiss.

Favour grew rapidly and became an obedient girl who helped her mother with chores in the house. Favor graduated from high school with a Good Grade. What would you like to study at the university, Favour? Peter together with Salome said to Favour. I want to carry out research on cures for diseases. With their limited educational knowledge, Peter and Salome asked; what kind of course would help you do that? Science Laboratory, Favour replied. We were not privileged to attend the university, but we do all we can to train you in the university, Peter and Salome said.

Favour got admitted to the university of her city, AKSU. With the hope her parents had in her to elevate the family, Favour wanted to study hard and graduate with good grades from the University on time. But things didn't work as she thought.

Favour studied as she could, and read during the day and also at night. She was doing well in her courses in her first year at the university. Favour made friends, and the closest was named Gift. Gift was not sound Academically, she failed some courses in her first year, which she would resit during her second year.

Please help me write the course I failed, I don't want to fail the course, if I fail again, I will be withdrawn from school, Gift said to Favour. Out of her concern, she does not want her friend to be withdrawn from school, Favour Accepted to write the examination for her. The school process of sitting for the examination was that each student would register for a course they intended to write with their names and passport photographs, and this would be used for check-in on the day of the examination. Favor registered for the course with Gift's name but with her photograph to have access to the examination. She wrote the examination, and Gift had an alpha in the course.

The Phone rang, and it was Mr.Etim who called Favour, meet me in my Office tomorrow, he said to Favour. With fear on her face, and her heart pounding, Favour wondered why her course adviser, Mr. Etim invited her to his office. Favour was eager to meet Mr.Etim, that she should not wait, but go to Mr. Etim's office very early in the morning. She was invited into the office and Mr. Etim told her that she would face the school panel of Justice in two days, and that she was caught in examination malpractice. The Department of Science Laboratory scrutinized the grades of Gift and found that she wasn't the person who had written the examination but Favour, because of the photographs.

Before the panel of Justice, Favour begged for mercy, and being one of the best students, she was given a latitude. Favour was suspended from studies for a year, instead of being expelled from school. How can I tell my parents this? Favour asked herself. After much thought, she decided not to tell her parents.

A year passed, and Favour was back to study, but she could not continue in the Science Laboratory's Department because of shame, she applied for a change of course which was eventually granted. But the implication was Favour would start all over again, that is from Level 100, which means two years would be added to her years of study.

Family members began to doubt her studies because the year she was supposed to graduate from the University had passed. Her parents withdrew their sponsorship, and though Favour later explained what happened to them, they did not take it lightly with her. Favour was left all by herself to sponsor her education, she was terrified and didn't know what to do. Don't worry, I will support you to the best of my ability, John who was Favour's boyfriend uttered. Favour did not give up, she kept studying harder, and was contented with the little she had from her menial Job, and the support she received from her boyfriend.

Finally, Favour graduated as the best student in her new department. And it was time for her Convocation ceremony, she invited friends and family to the ceremony.

As the best student, Favour was given the privilege to give a speech. In her speech, Favour said; "This moment seemed to be a myth years back, to me, even to my parents. During this journey, I have made mistakes, I have had obstacles, and my loved ones doubted me and gave up on me. You see, the road to success can be rough, you may fail, you may be rejected, and at some point, you may be discouraged, but success can be ours if and only if we never give up".
