Three Things I'm Grateful For This Year

Hello lovely people👋. Hope we are doing well? Its your girl @beevicsam expressing how grateful i am and to what exactly i am grateful for this year.

First of all what does it means to be grateful? Have you ever told someone "thank you" for doing something good to you? Have you showed gratitude to someone for the good that person have done for you? If yes, that means you were grateful for the person's action.

Being grateful is also a way of showing how thankful you are for your achievement or achievements. The fact that you feel happy for achieving a particular goal is you being grateful.

THREE THINGS I AM GRATEFUL FOR

MY MARRIAGE

I got married on the 10th of February, 2024. It was not easy but we did it successfully. At first my husband's people visited my family for what we call "ndiongo ufok" where the two families meet to officially declare intentions and introduce each other. My introduction aspect was easy and smooth. After my husband's people got my traditional bride price list, my husband bought all the items in the list and fixed a date for payment. On the day of payment my family people complained that there were items that they should have written but they forgot so they requested for more items that were not on the list😴. My husband stood up and walked out, when my sister asked him what happen he said he is not doing again that he wants to call of the marriage. I was inside o but when this information got to me I quickly went to meet him and asked him if he really wants to walk away from me because of traditional rite list? I reminded him that all they did was because my father is not alive and my village people don't wish me well so he should please calm down. He calmed down and went back inside to settle the extra items that were added.

As if that was not enough, on the day of marriage, the man that was supposed to sit as a father to my husband got provoke and said he was not coming again until after enough begging. We got to the marriage ground and nothing was done. I cried o😭 but my mum was my support machine comforting me all the way. I cannot name all the challenges I faced during my marriage but I am so grateful to God that my marriage was successful and I was happy at last. MY MOTHER'S LIFE

Shortly after my marriage my mother got critically ill. Thank God I went to visit her this particular weekend. It was on a friday evening and she just strolled out to a small market nearby to get few food stuffs. I was watching movie when someone rushed into our house bearing news that my mum slumped at the market and was rushed to church. Immediately I got to the church I rushed her to the hospital and the doctor told us that her sugar level droped badly and thank God we brought her on time that if we had delayed for the next 30 minutes that she would have died. I am so grateful that my mum is alive, well and strong today and wish she will live long so I can get rich and spoil her with money🤗. Permit me to share some pictures of me and my precious mother💕👇

MY MAKEUP BUSINESS

I have always had the entrepreneurial spirit from childhood so I went for makeup training in my university days when I had the chance. After school I had to work in a private school to raise capital to start up my makeup job fully. To get makeup kits and a shop is quite expensive in my town so it took me three years to save up capital for my business. Just last month I was able to get a shop though I'm sharing with someone. I am now fully available to do makeup anytime any day and I am grateful for my success so far. I want to also appreciate my husband for his love and support all through this journey. I thank God for keeping me alive to achieve my dreams. Below are pictures of makeup done by me but for now since I don't have a phone with good camera I use my neighbour's phone to snap.👇
