What is the way to Write a Quality Post?[Season 3]
This is @alli001 from #Nigeria🇳🇬.
A mere looking at the introduction part of a post can scare readers away. I had no clue about this, but it's a fact that I only realized yesterday. I shared a Steemit post with my friend who struggled to finish reading it, why the struggle? It was due to the unappealing presentation, lack of creativity, and absence of engaging visual elements that could have captured his attention.
To be honest, it was a poorly written post, and just looking at it was enough to get him irritated. We learn everyday, that's why I couldn't pass this contest organized by @shiftitamanna, because this is an opportunity to learn, grow and explore Steemit platform perfectly. Let's learn!
What are the techniques for writing a quality post? |
---|
Before diving into the introduction, main body, and conclusion of your post, you must first craft a captivating and attention-grabbing title. A title that is so compelling, interesting and enticing readers to click and read on. Now, let's say you want to write a diary game on how you finally got a job after spending many hours during the interview session, what do you think will be the best title that'll draw the attention of your readers?
"I got a job after spending many hours during the interview session?" or "The breakthrough moment?". For me, I'll go for the second title, because the first title had already exposed the body of your post, and with this, your readers may feel reluctant to open and read on. With the second title in mind, your readers will be curious about the breakthrough moment and will be pushed to know in details what happened.
Secondly, the introduction part of your post has a crucial role to play when detecting a quality post. Since it's the first write-up your readers will see when they open your post, make it fun and interesting, then at the long run, leave your readers in suspense. How? You can ask a question that'll make them nervous, and want to know about the full story through your post.
Thirdly is the body of your post. You must write in details what you want your readers to learn from it, the experiences you had if any, and what your readers will take back home after reading. During the detailed writing, your post must be paragraphed, punctuated and well arranged. With the use of the available markdown styles, you can make the body of your post unique and eye-catching.
Lastly is the conclusion, conclude your post in such a way that'll motivate your readers, sow that seed in their heart, that seed will germinate and push them to visit your blog regularly for more useful and quality post.
How important is relevance and creativity in a post? |
---|
Relevance and creativity are crucial elements when it comes to quality post writing. When your post is relevance, it'll push your readers easy or audience to interact and engage in it. Some readers and audience easily read and understand post with ease, why? Because the information in your post is relevant, is important and it's worth spending time on.
A lot of successful influencers we see today, are there because of their creativity. People are always moved with what they can recall and share with others. When you're creative in your post, it'll stand out, draws readers attention, and offer a fresh and new perspective.
What makes a post high quality? |
---|
The title of a high quality post must be attention-grabbing , captivated introduction, well-detailed body of the post, well paragraphed, error free, Ai free, plagiarism free and mind resting conclusion words. Applying these key characteristics in your post will make your post not only unique, but high quality.
What are the visual elements for improved reader engagement? |
---|
When we talk about visual elements, is not just about pictures, it consists of pictures, headings, bullet points, fonts etc. These visual elements plays a crucial role for improved readers engagement. Let's start with pictures, the pictures you attach to your write-up must be relevant and of high quality.
For example, you're talking about how a farmer killed his son on his way to the farm, but when attaching a picture as part of your visual elements, your readers will see an old woman going to the farm. At this point, it'll just look as if you don't know what you're doing, they'll lose interest and press the back or exit button. The same thing goes to the bullet points, headings, fonts and the likes of them. You must use them when necessary, and at the right spot.
I'm still open to learning, that's why I'd like to invite @bossj23 @josepha and @patjewell to participate, I want to learn from them as well.
