The Diary Game || 19-01-25 || Attending Our Circuit Assembly And Throwing A Mini Party For Our Special Pioneer.
January 19th was a highly anticipated day for me, marking our first circuit assembly of the year. The excitement was overwhelming, and I had been eagerly looking forward to it. What made the day even more special was the plan to visit, share a meal, and spend quality time with our beloved special pioneer who had recently stepped down from circuit work. Yesterday was, without a doubt, an extraordinary and enjoyable day.
I gained valuable insights and lessons during the assembly, and the visit to the special pioneer's home was equally enlightening. Let me take you through the highlights of my fulfilling day, starting with the assembly...
Morning Session🌅
I started my day early, waking up at 6:00 a.m. to join my family for our daily devotional text and morning prayer. Afterwards, I ironed my clothes and made final preparations to leave for the assembly grounds by 8:00 a.m. The convention was scheduled to commence at 9:40 a.m. My plan was to arrive early with my family, allowing me to report to the attendance office while my father attended to his duties at the sound office.
Arriving ahead of schedule brought me immense joy, and I was thrilled to reunite with my Christian brothers. I wanted to preserve the moment, so I suggested taking a selfie together. After capturing our reunion, I proceeded to the attendance office to collect my identification tag and learn about my assigned auditorium for the day. I was delighted to discover that I would be working in Section B3, a role that plays to my strengths.
Have you ever experienced an environment that embodies serenity, calmness, peace, health, and blessings? Oh wow, our assembly ground signifies all these. Check out the serene environment below..... 👇🏾
This place holds a special significance for me, as it's where people from diverse backgrounds and tribes come together, united as one family, bound by love, unity, and peace. Arriving early at the assembly grounds has its perks. It provides a wonderful opportunity to capture cherished moments with loved ones and family. I seized this chance, and here are some of the memorable photos I took that morning..👇🏾
The photography session was an absolute delight, thanks to little Kyria, who playfully refused to pose for the camera. Her energetic antics brought so much joy to the moment. As the time approached 9:30 a.m., we wrapped up the photo shoot, and everyone headed to their designated seats, while I made my way to my workstation. Promptly at 9:40 a.m., the morning session of our circuit assembly commenced with a opening song and prayer, marking the official start of the program.

The theme of our circuit assembly was "Behave in a Manner Worthy of the Good News". I was spiritually prepared for this day and hoping to get the best out of it. We were enlightened on how people in the Bible behave in a manner worthy of the goodnews, and how goodnews influenced their lives. We learnt about people like Stephen, Philip, Aquila and Priscila and Titus. They were the people that got influenced by the goodnews when the first heard of it. Have you heard about the goodnews, and the good deeds it's about to bring to mankind? If yes, please behave in a manner worthy of that goodnews.
Baptism is one way to show that someone is truly a devoted follower of Christ, and yes, such discussion was made for the people who are ready to leave the bad ways and follow Christ. The title of the baptism discussion was; Continue to Be “Submissive to the Good News”
I felt immense joy witnessing four young individuals, around my age, willingly dedicating their lives to Christ through baptism. As they courageously stood before the congregation, publicly declaring their commitment to follow God's path and emulate Jesus' teachings, it brought back fond memories of my own baptism on December 23, 2017. That day was etched in my memory forever, and I'm certain that the newly baptized young boys felt equally elated, marking the beginning of their spiritual journey.
The four young individuals were escorted to the baptismal site with the assistance of the attendants from Sections B1 and B2. Following a quick change into lightweight attire, they were baptized in a heartfelt ceremony. Upon completion of the baptism, the congregation was invited to take a 1-hour, 15-minute recess, allowing everyone to refresh and recharge before the afternoon session.
The break time was truly exceptional! I was treated to a delightful spread of food, including coconut rice with fried plantains, potato porridge, Moi-Moi, and bread. What's remarkable is that none of these dishes were prepared by me or my mother. Instead, I enjoyed them all courtesy of my loving brothers and sisters in the faith. This is a testament to the spirit of sharing and generosity that defines Jehovah's organization and the Witnesses' community.
We share with one another, and even with strangers, as if we were family. I thoroughly relished the experience of dining together with them. Following the allotted break time, we all returned to our respective seats and workstations, ready to resume the afternoon session.
Afternoon Session🕐
The afternoon session commenced with a heartfelt song and prayer, setting the tone for a thought-provoking public Bible discourse titled, "Why Do You Believe What You Believe". Our circuit overseer delivered a compelling presentation, emphasizing the importance of unwavering faith in the good news from God and its transformative power to benefit humanity.
Following the public discourse, we explored the Watchtower summary titled "Learn From the Parting Words of Faithful Men". This insightful discussion highlighted valuable lessons from the lives of faithful individuals like Moses and David. Despite facing numerous challenges, their parting words offered timeless wisdom, providing us with strength and encouragement as we navigate our own lives.
After the Watchtower study, the symposium segment featured various speakers who shared thought-provoking insights. The climax of the program was our circuit overseer's final public talk, titled "How Are You Being Treated"? This poignant discourse left a lasting impression on the audience. To conclude the assembly, we sang a heartfelt closing song, followed by a poignant prayer offered by the circuit overseer. With that, the assembly came to a triumphant close, marking a resounding success.
Before departing to meet our visiting special pioneer, I took a moment to contribute to the cleanliness of our surroundings by sweeping the area. I also seized the opportunity to take a memorable selfie with my brothers who had assisted in keeping the environment spotless, despite their immaculate attire. It's moments like these that reaffirm why Jehovah's organization is truly a wonderful community to be a part of.
Evening/Night Session🌃
Upon returning home with my family around 5 p.m., we freshened up and headed to the special pioneer's residence, where we joined other brothers and sisters from various congregations. We arrived around 6 p.m. and received a warm welcome. The evening's hospitality included a delectable spread of periwinkle, cow skin, and fresh palm wine. The combination was absolutely delightful, especially under the evening moonlight.
As I savored the delicious meal, I wished it wouldn't end. The periwinkle and cow skin paired perfectly with the refreshing drinks that followed. Amidst the warm team spirit, our special pioneer and spiritually mature brothers shared uplifting words, strengthening our faith. Their counsel to us young ones was particularly impactful: to prioritize seeking God's Kingdom, trusting that all other necessities would be provided. They encouraged us to wholeheartedly dedicate ourselves to Jehovah's work, leveraging our youthful energy and vitality.
I listened intently, feeling a deep sense of resolve. I reaffirmed my commitment to living a life that reflects the goodness of the gospel and to devoting myself fully to Jehovah's organization. The first circuit assembly of the year concluded on a high note. We had a morning attendance of 1,408 and an afternoon attendance of 1,356. The highlight of the event was the baptism of four young brothers, a truly uplifting experience. It was a wonderful gathering, and I feel grateful to have been a part of it.
