Assalam O Alaikum

Friends, it is 8th February and today, I have to go to Lahore to meet with my friends and to perform other activities there. So that day, I woke up early in the morning right according to my routine and perform the activities like saying prayer, reciting the Holy Quran and taking the breakfast. After that, I started preparing for our departure as we have to reach there before evening.

After getting ready, we left our house and reached inside the Depalpur city from where we have to board on the APV. When we reached there, there wasn't any rush of people and only two seats were available in the APV, so boarded on it quickly and left for the Lahore city. The Lahore city is about 110 km away from my city which takes about 3 hours to reach there. So we reached there in the evening.

At Waqas Biryani

When we reached there, our friend @huraira50 was on waiting for us on the station to receive us. So he welcomed us as it was evening and we were very hungry. To fulfill our hunger we stopped at the Waqas biryani which is our favorite place to eat and according to me, it is one of the most famous and delicious biryani in whole Lahore city.

Delicious biryani

After eating biryani which was very tasty and super delicious we decided to go towards our hostel because, it was too cold as these are the months of winters in Pakistan. When we were going back, we passed through the expo center Lahore where the Sufi Festival was held by the chief minister of Punjab where the Sufi's from whole country was invited. So we decided to attend that festival.

At festival

After parking our bike in the stand, we entered inside the place where the show was held. In the above pictures, you can see a lot of people were gathered there and all of them were the lovers of art, crafts and sufism. Also, there was a qawali night where the people were listening the music of their own tastes.

After spending some there, we moved towards the other portion where the Pakistan handicraft things were displayed which were made by the hands of expert people as their shapes, texture and designs tell us everything about the person who created them with his own hands.

Handicrafts

In the above pictures, you can see all the handicrafts are very beautiful and amazing. After seeing them, we moved towards the second floor where the arts and paintings were displayed on the walls. These paintings were very difficult to understand for me. But they were looking good and pointing something different present behind them.

@wakeupkitty would you like to say something about these paintings?

After spending sometime there, we moved towards the auditorium where the famous Sufi's of Pakistan were gathered and they were talking about some important topics about humanity, religions and the ways of living. I don't know too much about them but I like their ways of talking and the topic they were talking about.

Inside the auditorium

After spending about 2 hours there, we decided to move back towards our hostel because it was about 8 o'clock in the night and too much cold and fog as well. So we reached inside the hostel within 30 minutes and then performed other activities there.

You really live in my future. Februay 8th! With me it's January 20, 2025 and the day just started although it's grey and there's hardly light.

You took some great photos of the crafts, different styles, warm and colourful. If it comes to colours and "clearity" I would go for the first painting, the dancing figure. It looks like a few simple brush strokes but it is not (it rarely is what we see). I like the dynamic in it, the movement, how the skirt whirls but... the next painting distracts from this one.

I would say I would buy it (the 2nd) though it's not "my style" which is an interesting thought.
I wonder why name and date are removed; if I study it for longer I am more focused at that spot at the left bottom. It's not that I want a name on it (I am no fan of big names and dates it distracts from the painting) but it makes me wonder... I would have asked and I would have tried to figure it out if I had that painting. 🤣
What you see is what you want to see which is a great plus. No need for an explaination, It reminds me of doodling combined with mandelas, watercolour pencils and good vibes (just that missing signature..)
Nice details are the brushes, the palette and tree and moon are super.. The view out of the window of an artist?

The second one is fascinating. The tree floats away and it is as if I see a lady sit watching change. I would call her a robot or perhaps this is the change of Mother Earth complete with a hole (nkt in the ozone layer but it's good for the inner void of humankind.
This 3rd painting is from 1999 🤔 the others are from the same period soon vintage but still interesting.
I would buy all three if I could afford it but not in the same room.

Thanks for remembering tagging me if you found a painting again.

🍀♥️

The paintings, if I look at the date are

What an amazing and delightful comment. You have uncovered those secrets which is haven't noticed myself. I really admire the way you observe these paintings and wished to buy them. From your thoughts, the one thing I have realized that, there is always a lot of complexities are hidden in the simplicities and you have figured out all of them briefly. I really don't know what to add more but, your unique interpretations have added more value to these paintings. Thank you so much for your kind words and admiring art in an inspiring way. 🤗🌹

I should thank you for thinking of me again and sharing those paintings. I could write a story about them again just like I did before as you took that painting of the couple on the horseback. How long ago is that?

I wish you a great day and thanks for your reply.
You brightened my day (I should say night since it is 2;25 am... bedtime).
