How do you handle folks who argue without recourse to logic and knowledge??

Some folks , especially in the liberalised social media are belicose in their efforts to win you over to their thoughts.
They exude false knowledge and wisdom, which is more of culture and social orientation than truth!
How do you handle such folks without attracting their anger and resentment??
It can be very irritating having such people around... Bet me the peak I do is just to get mute and walk away
