PROMOTE STEEM by the means of SPORTS | MEETING WITH A PROMOTER @julstamban FROM THE PHILIPPINES

It's been a year since I started to become less active in steemit. By the way, I am a former writer from the original @steemsports account. If you love sports and you are on steemit, I'm sure you're familiar with us. But things have changed, most of us writers put our priority first and we decided not to continue. We already disbanded.

I've been busy in life and other stuff then suddenly, my close friend @julstamban asked me to go back to steemit. At first, I was hesitant but when I saw how things have changed and how more interesting is steemit now, I've decided that I want to try it once again and put my time and effort into it. I wanted this to grow and help others. I wanted to share it with other people and @julstamban taught me how we can do this.

The PromoSteem community is a lifesaver. This helps a lot in promoting the platform and spreading it to the world. And people like @julstamban, a promoter, can make it even possible for the whole world to know about steemit. I wanted to be part of this so we decided to have a meeting and talk it over.

We have a lot in our minds, but the first thing that came to our mind is SPORTS! Yes, we both love sports. In the Philippines, I cannot think of one person who doesn't love sports, especially, basketball. Basketball is a tradition in the Philippines. So, we came up with the idea, "why don't we use sports to introduce steemit to our fellow Filipino?".

We can have organized sports events or contests that can bring people here in steemit. And we also know that there is a lot of quality content creator here in the Philippines especially in the sports industry. We have a Facebook Page called Hoop Press and we already have almost 5000 followers there. We can use that to promote steemit in every content we created there. We know it's still small, but having that visibility as a start is not bad in my opinion. I believe that there are a lot of people who will have an interest in steemit as a content creator.

@julstamban is running a Promo Steem campaign here in the Philippines. He is giving away a ton of Facemask and T-shirts with steemit designs on them. He calls it Promo Steem Facemasks and Promo Steem Shirts. We already met in person and he handed me a lot of facemasks to distribute to other fellow steemians. And also for those people that we're going to recruit to join steemit.

This is a great campaign and I am happy to give him a helping hand. These facemasks will definitely reach more people and people will learn about steemit as we continue to do this campaign.
