Hello everyone, I'm really glad I'm doing this,adding to the steemit ecosystem is a great joy, investing in cryptocurrency is also great since cryptocurrency has come stay.
Today I'll be adding to my SP by powering up 16 STEEM to reach 895 SP almost getting to 1k SP, so this is how I did it I hope you learn something from this.
So before we start I'll first start by making some few definitions.

What is Power up?

Power up is a process of vesting your STEEM rewards back to the steemit account. It's more like investing or giving back to the steemit block chain.

Who can do Power up

Powering up can be done by any steemit user, when you get STEEM rewards you are eligible to power up no matter how small it may be.

Power up Process

To power up you need to do the following things;

Step one
Go to your wallet page by clicking on the Wallet option on your profile page.

My current Steem balance was 16.080 Steem, now once on this page, you will go ahead and click on the Steem balance there was and there will be a roll down of options that will appear, click on Power up and that will lead us to our next step which is confirmation.

Step two
This step has to do with confirmation of the Power up by inputting the amount of Steem you want to power up and using your active key to confirm the process. This is crucial and you must be very careful with this part.
Now after clicking on Power up in step one, youll be directed to a next page like this 👇

You have to input the Steem you want to power up and click on Power up to continue the process.
The page will load and you will be asked to input your active keys which is the main key used to confirm a power up.

After my power up, I noticed that my Steem balance went to zero.

That's how it goes,power up is not that hard you just need to know the right keys to use and to follow up keenly.

Reasons for powering up

• Powering up gives you more reward in the curators pool.
• Powering up is a way of joining club status, this gives you a place in the hearts of the Steem curators.
• Powering up is a way of safe guarding your rewards, this makes it unaccessible to fraudsters since it is locked up in the block chain
• Power up makes your account very charged with RC status, meaning you can make more posts and not run low on RC status.
