Creativity for kids// @morikin

Hi there! I’m @morikin and I'm a mother of four children and a nanny to my two grandchildren. I am here to share to you my beautiful Christmas experienced with my family and the little girl named kaira.

For me it’s not what’s under the Christmas tree that is important, it’s the presence of everyone around it. So here is the story of this little girl.

It was the day before Christmas when everyone in the family are busy preparing for the joyous day of the year Christmas day. From the decoration, to the wrapping of gifts, dress to wear ,the food to eat

and the fireworks for the celebrations, everybody were busy while the kids are playing.

Everyone enjoyed the busy day and the count down started.
There are many beautiful thing I've experienced that the more the family has tried to live in the harmony the merrier it was. The happiness felt by the kids and kaira around makes more sense. Not only because of the season but the love and respect behind makes everything so much more peaceful and enjoyable. I can feel this because as a mother and a grandmother the biggest responsibilities are on your shoulder and, to top it all you are their model and they looked up to you with authority particularly the little ones.
The kids and kaira are very happy during the eve of Christmas. They were very excited what is inside the boxes under the Christmas tree. The singing of Christmas carols, the noise of firecrackers and the beautiful lights above added delight to everyone. The kids shouted and jumped with joy and we all felt the spirit of Christmas all over the place.
So after all the major activities ,the kids settle down for the gift giving and out of exhaustion from shouting and jumping and they just stared on the gifts under the tree. I started calling up the names written on each boxes and the noise started, the laughter and the clapping of hands show so much of their excitement. When all of them have opened their gifts they were very thankful. The expression comforted by their hugs to me and to everyone is like magic that came from each little kids heart.
Suddenly kaira came up to me with a faint smile and ask," Is there something for my mother?" she asked.I seem to hear the question but not quite listening I asked her again, "What is it kaira?" there was moment of silence as she looked at me and asked again." Nanay(grandma) is there something for my mother?"

I feel guilty when I heard it because this little girl was not only thinking something for herself but also something for her mom. So to cheer her up I gave my gift instead and told her I almost forgot that I have something for her mom.When I give the small box(a purse inside)I see a smile that is childlike and charming. She hugged me and whispered "thank you".

I was so happy to see the kind of smile that shows quiet affection and appreciation. She place the gifts inside her bag and run off to play.
Having kids around provides meaning, satisfaction and connection to everyone's lives.
