$20 for one night in a five-star hotel!

Baguio Country Club is a 100-year-old five-start mountain resort located here in our city. Note that the photos here were posted originally here in this post How did we afford to stay at a five-star resort. Feel free to check it out and now more about our experience in the hotel.

I wanted to post something else for this contest but I was browsing through my photos and was reminded of this. I haven't even made the part two of this because I forgot all about it.

Anyway, how did we afford to stay in that resort? It was the offer by the resort to local residents when restrictions were slowly being lifted which was brought about by the pandemic. It is their way of helping themselves and the local economy as well.

When we learned about that offer, we booked right away. We were surprised how quickly the dates have been filled up. We had a hard time finding the right schedule at first. Me and some friends had to plan a schedule that everyone is free but we finally did it.

One night was worth $20 which was around PHP1000 at that time. Me and my partner booked for two separate nights but we didn't go the second time and had it transferred instead to our friend and family who wanted to extend their stay.

How was my experience? I would say it was okay. At least I get to stay in one of the rooms for a day and night.

I do like the view from our room. It's a relaxing view of the mountains. One would think that you get tired of it living in the mountains but I never will. Each morning is a new experience.
