Should mothers be the one with sole responsibility to take care of children @jemilatu

Hello everyone 👋, I hope you are all fine.
Thank you so much to steemfamily for organizing this wonderful contest.

Definitely not.Both parents have equal say in raising their children and responsibilities have to be equally divided.
Unfortunately one of the parents is loaded with the responsibility making it very hard.

However it should always be understood that mother has the maximum influence on a child’s life because of the time spent by her in the initial years.
In my case (considering you HAD to ask such a question) I would say, don’t let the child suffer just because the father is an Idiot.
Also pl don’t use the word ‘responsibility’. you gave birth to a child for you own happiness (not because your parents wanted or it is a norm to have children). bringing up a child is great pleasure as well as satisfaction (something like a painting painted by you). moment you skip the word responsibility you will find it very easy to being up the child.
And as a mom myself, I will say being around your child, whether you’re the mom or dad, is a learning experience, and will help you make memories together that last forever.

It’s always ! Always Both parents responsibility to take care of children regardless who is working
Another question is how this responsibility is shared between the parents . Of course there are many different situations and circumstances where family have to find the best way to share care for the children . However- both parents are responsible for their children . Even if a wife doesn’t work it doesn’t mean then she has to carry the whole 100% load of caring for the children . Same goes if a husband stays home with children and wife works full time - it’s not all his responsibility. Parents must share child care. Whether it’s 50/50 or 40/60 or 30/70 or however they divide the work . If people are not selfish and are fair they can always agree on who does what . Raising children is a full time job without breaks, so parents must realize this. So if both of them work - they must find a way to manage raising children without one of them being burned out . Children need to have happy parents. Parents have to find balance. Be honest, be fair, sacrifice when you can because you invest in your children and blessing your partner when you sacrifice- your time, your sleep, your own fun- to care for the children so your partner can rest and recharge and give back so that you could rest and recharge. All the while loving each other and your children.
