Dozens of residents of Cot Keuranji Village, Peusangan Bireuen, Sunday, 23/6/2024, cleaned up the village's Polindes which was damaged by mango and areca palm trees during heavy rain and strong winds Saturday, 22/6/2024.

The Polindes in Petua Dadeh Hamlet, the roof of the village, was hit by mango trees and areca nut trees. Buildings built by the community themselves dozens of years ago can no longer be used, the roofs have collapsed and the walls have also been damaged.

A fallen tree hit the roof. Partial semi-permanent and permanent buildings at the front close to the road were heavily damaged.

After the disaster, the people of Cot Keuranji, including women, worked together to clean up the trees that fell on the building using mutual cooperation. The residents worked together to clean the area, with enthusiasm the residents cleaned the area completely.

Keuchik (Village Head) Cot Keuranji, Ridwan said, at that time in their village area it was raining heavily accompanied by strong winds, suddenly residents heard a sound like a tree had fallen on a house or other building.

The Polindes building is no longer suitable for use as a place for village community Posyandu services. Village officials and the community hope that the relevant agencies can build a Polindes in their village.

Keuchik said that since two years ago, his party had proposed building a Polindes in their village to replace the building.

Now the community building on the waqf land has been damaged by falling trees due to strong winds and can no longer be used.

"We hope that the relevant agencies can build a Polindes to replace the damaged building to make it easier for village midwives to serve the community," hoped the Keuchik.
