Juang Bireuen City Middle School Students Win the 2024 Indonesian Student Gala.

Students from a number of Junior High Schools (SMP) in Kota Juang Bireuen District, some from State Junior High School (SMPN) 1 Bireuen, Saturday 8/6/2024, came out as first champions in football at the Indonesian Student Gala held by the Education and Education Department's junior high school division. Bireuen Culture (Disdikbud) at the Geulanggang Kulam football field.

In the final match starting at 10.00 WIB, Saturday, 8/6/2024, Kota Juang Middle School faced Peusangan Middle School, winning 1-0 through a free kick in the 47th minute by Muhammad Arif.

The match lasts 25 minutes per round. With these results, Juang Bireuen City Middle School will represent Bireuen at the Aceh Province student gala event.

Peusangan came out as second place. Meanwhile, third place was won by Gandapura Middle School after defeating Panjang Middle School on penalties with a score of 4-3 in a match on Saturday, 8/6/2024, morning.

The first place winners received a trophy, certificate and training money of IDR 5 million, the second place winner also received a trophy, certificate and training money of IDR 3 million, the third place winner received a trophy, certificate and training money of IDR 2 million and the fourth place winner received a trophy, certificate and also coaching money IDR 1 million.

Trophies, coaching money and certificates were handed over by the Head of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office, Muslim MSi accompanied by the Secretary of Zamzami SPd MPd and other committee members.

Head of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office, Muslim, told reporters that the GSI-SMP Regency level competition was a means of selecting players to take part in the GSI-SMP event at the provincial level.

Of course, the players who will be selected later by the talent scout team will be the players who have the best talent and meet criteria such as physical, technical and mental abilities. This is the basic standard for passing selection.

"The selected players will strengthen the Bireuen Regency GSI-SMP Team to take part in the same event at the provincial level," said Muslim.

He appreciated and expressed his gratitude to all sub-district teams who participated in the 2024 Bireuen Regency level GSI-SMP football selection and competition.

Thanks were also expressed to the referee Askab PSSI Bireuen, who led the event during the event and the talent scout team who worked hard to attract talented young players.

Also attending the activity were, among others, the Secretary of the Bireuen Education and Culture Office, Zamzami, S.Pd.M.M, the Chair of the MKKS-SMP Bireuen Regency, Andrian, M.Pd, a number of Heads and teachers of SMP in Bireuen Regency and other guests.

This event was attended by a team of Bireuen Junior High School (SMP) students representing 12 sub-districts. The 12 junior high school teams are from Peusangan Selatan, Peudada, Panjang, Peusangan, Peusangan Siblah Krueng, Juli, Kota Juang, Samalanga, Makmur, Gandapura, Kutablang and Jeumpa.
