My Strategy For Stopping 🔥Plagiarism🔥
What is Plagiarism?
Plagiarism is simply an act whereby someone takes the property/content of another person without the consent or permission from the owner. This act is clearly seen as Stealing and must be prohibited in every life activity.
What are my strategies for stopping Plagiarism in steemit?
For sure plagiarism is a high crime here in steemit, infact one can be terminated from blogging if you're caught several times after warning. And steemit has come with different strategies to penalize these criminals.
With my experience in steemit for more than a year, I can be a good plagiarism detective since I've served as a recruiter and mentor in steemit for a long time. With my experience as a good coach and Plagiarism fighter I'll throw out the below strategy on how to stop Plagiarism.
They are;
• Enforcing a plagiarism fighting team
One of my best strategy is setting up a team that'll help in fighting this lousy act. Once a plagiarism team is set up it scares the victims from partaking in plagiarism and hence stops plagiarism. What will stop or discourage a thief from going to steal is because he/she knows there are security bodies set up to fight against such act. As steemit has done this well, some members like @endingplagiarism, @stef1, @the-gorrila and many others have been so good in doing this job and I must use this opportunity to commend them for the good works they're doing.
• Making sure every caught victim must be penalized
A criminal will always repeat his act if he is left free after his first crime. One of my good strategy for stopping Plagiarism is by making sure the plagiarist should be penalized. Other persons will want to involve themselves into it if the first victims weren't penalized. So I'll move with that tactics of making the wrong bloggers go punished so as to discourage this act in the platform. I'll say the victims should be warned first and if repeated again will then serve through some penalties like being banned from writing in the platform or downvoted by the Steemit team.
• Educating my members on how to use some Plagiarism checker software
Some persons just move into a blogging space like steemit without already knowing what Plagiarism is all about since their mentor didn't do the job very well in educating them all about plagiarism. If am to be a community admin I'll do well in educating my members what plagiarism is all about, the penalties that follows it if one is being caught and how to check your post for plagiarism before posting. We have many plagiarism checker software like;
- Smallseotool
- Grammarly
- Plagiarismdetector e. t. c.
It's good to educate members on how to use those apps in checking Plagiarism. If they can know how to do it, for sure it'll be a good strategy in reducing or stopping Plagiarism in the Steemit platform, trust me am writing out of experience.
• Educating my members about Citation
Some persons don't know how to add source to an image or content being borrowed or taken from another site. They might not have that mindset of stealing the content but because they don't know how to cite it then it turns to Plagiarism. One of the best strategy is also educating them on how to use Citation. They should learn how to add link to a content that doesn't belong to them. This way one can be able to stop Plagiarism.
Conclusion
Since we've seen that Plagiarism isn't good I'll advise no one should be involved. My above strategy are all from experience and these are the best ways to stop Plagiarism in steemit. Let's join hands together in helping steemit fight Plagiarism.
