He also engaged in various forms of debauchery, including drinking, gambling, and wild parties. In 1816, he famously left England and traveled to Switzerland, where he lived with Percy Bysshe Shelley and his wife Mary Shelley. It was during this time that Byron wrote one of his most famous works, the epic poem Don Juan.
