Simple and Healthy Raita Recipe

Raita is a crunchy curd based side dish tempered with aromatic spices. It is very quick and easy to prepare. Here is how to make it.

Ingredients

  • Yogurt - 1 Cup
  • Fresh Moong green - 1 Handful
  • Carrot - 2 tbs grated
  • Roasted cumin powder - Half tbs
  • Grated Ginger - Half tbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard seed - Half tbs
  • Dry red chilli - 1
  • Pinch of Hing/Asefoetida
  • Curry Leaves - 4

Method of making Raita

  • Garden fresh moong green leaves, Washed and finely chopped it.
  • Take fresh yogurt in a bowl and add chopped green leaves, carrot, cumin powder, salt and ginger.
  • Mix it well.
  • Take a pan and now we will make a tempering tadka.
  • Pour one tbs oil and add mustard seed, red chilli, hing and curry leaves.
  • Add the tempering tadka to the raita.
