Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Sends Greetings to the People of Aceh.

The Turkish community through the Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi (TDV) provided 150 sacrificial cows for residents in Aceh. Even the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, also conveyed his greetings to the people of Tanah Rencong.

The slaughter and distribution of sacrifices will be carried out in stages from 17 to 19 June 2024.

"In stages over three days, in Pidie, North Aceh and Aceh Besar Regencies," said Global Meutuah Foundation Trustee, Ryanda Saputra MZ, in a written statement, Thursday, June 20 2024.

The sacrificial meat that had been slaughtered, said Ryanda, was picked up by the beneficiary representatives. They come from Pidie, Pidie Jaya, Bireuen, North Aceh, Lhokseumawe, Aceh Besar, Banda Aceh, and Aceh Jaya.

Meanwhile, the Representative of the Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi, Ensari Yenturk, said that every year his party sends sacrifices to various countries in the world. The goal is to establish friendship.

"This is not just offering sacrifices, but rather connecting ties of friendship," said Ensari.

He said that the reason Turkey gave sacrificial animals to Aceh was because the area called Veranda of Makkah has had a very close relationship with the Land of a Thousand Cultures for a long time.

Therefore, this effort is part of refreshing the relations between Turkey and Aceh that existed in the past.

Ensari said that the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Head of Turkey's Directorate of Religious Affairs, Ali Erbas, sent their greetings to all the people of Aceh.

Not only that, the Turkiye Diyanet Vakfi Representative also asked the people of Aceh to offer prayers for goodness in Palestine.
