Peudada District MTQ Champions Will Compete at Regency Level.

A total of 136 participating qari - qariah and hafidz - hafizah delegates from six settlements in Peudada District, Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province, for eight days starting Saturday, 29/6/2024, took part in the 37th Musabaqah Tilawatil Qur'an (MTQ) at the Baitunnur Mosque , Peudada.

The competition activity to select the best participant to represent Peudada at the district level MTQ will later be opened by the Acting Regent of Bireuen, Aulia Sofyan PhD, represented by the Head of the Islamic Sharia Service (DSI) Dr H Jufliwan.

The chairman of the implementing committee, Juni Saputra, in his report said that the aims and objectives of implementing MTQ were to develop understanding and practice of the contents of the Al-Qur'an.

Meanwhile, the aim is to select at the sub-district level which will later be included in the district-level selection.

The MTQ was held for 8 days from 29 June to 6 July 2024. The branches in the competition were Recitations of the Al-Quran, Qiraat Al-Quran, Hifzhil Al-Qur'an, Fahmil Al-Qur'an, Syarhil Al-Qur'an, Scientific Writing Branch Al Quran (KTIQ) Al-Qur'an, Khath Al-Qur'an.

The total number of participants was 136 delegates from 6 settlements in Peudada District consisting of 16 participants from Alue Reheng Settlement, Tgk Di Paya Settlement (20), Pinto Batee Settlement (5), Blang Birah Settlement (48), Krueng Settlement (45) and Batee Kureng Settlement 2 participants.

Peudada Subdistrict Head, Erry Seprinaldi added, there were seven branches competing in the musabaqah which carried the theme "Creating a Quranic Generation for Civilized Youth" which also included the inauguration of the panel of judges, reading of the pledge, handing over of rotating trophies from the Tgk Di Paya Village to the Subdistrict Head.

"I hope that all recitation and dayah centers in Peudada will have training to produce cadres of MTQ participants, and it is my hope that the MTQ in Bireuen Regency this time can win the overall championship," said the sub-district head.

The momentum of the 37th Peudada District level MTQ in 2024 invites all parents and the community to protect and keep children away from drug abuse.

The Bireuen Regency Government is very committed and serious in eradicating drug abuse and eradicating drug trafficking, said the Acting Regent.
