Hi dear R2cornell community

I hope everyone is well, today I want to mark my love for poetry and I wanted to quote a specific one by Elizabeth Barrett Browning, words are things that remain marked in our minds and souls, and as such we must always keep them present.

This poem was written by Elizabeth Barrett Browning to her husband while they were living in Italy, this poem is often touted as the epitome of love poetry. Browning describes her love for Robert in a very spiritual way: “I love thee to the depth and breadth and height My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight for the ends of Being and ideal Grace” says that her love for him is her salvation.

Certain words are capitalized because they refer to more than just their conventional meaning:

  • Being (Human existence)

  • Grace (God´s salvation)

  • Right (Justice)
