Lukkersson, Heir to Odin's Will - Digital Drwawing.

What's up my art lover people, today's artwork is about a work which I decided to title Lukkersson, The Heir of Odin's Will. As many who follow me know I am a fan of the Viking theme for a long time and from time to time I like to create works related to this; I think I had some months ago that I did nothing about Vikings and I thought it was a good time to vary a little in my blog and take it back a little and so I created Lukkersson which is a brave Viking warrior with a very strong personality and a strong character:

To start with my drawing the first thing is to create basic lines to build a character that looks good enough and in this case I focused on creating a character very similar to those I have seen in movies and television series whether animated or of any kind; the truth was not so complicated because as I said I already have some experience in this type of characters. For the coloring of Lukkersson this time I decided to use quite reddish tones; especially in the skin area where I applied a base with quite saturated and warm tones.

Once I had painted the base of the skin very well, the next step in the painting process was to add combat details to the Viking warrior, some small scars and cuts in the face area above all and in the neck and collarbones. After finishing with the wounds I painted the eyes and for a change I colored them with a bright jade green tone to make the character more striking.

After finishing with the last details of the skin the next thing was the construction of the Viking warrior's hairstyle, as I remember from series like (Vikings) is very common long hair, but in the form of a kind of ponytail and with the sides shaved or very short; and that's why I focused on creating something like this for Lukkersson's hairstyle. First I laid a medium light brown base for the side part and then with a special brush I pulled the strands of hair back in lines and then the ponytail over Lukkersson's shoulder.

For the final part of my work I decided to paint a background that would convey a rather bloody appearance, so to speak, with a kind of sunset covered with clouds between loops and for this I used many warm shades such as reds, browns and some others. Finally, and as a final touch I decided to add some kind of birds flying in the back that I thought would be the perfect complement to finish my drawing in an epic way.
