Grace, The Mystery of the Blue Forest - Digital Drawing.

What's up people, how are you? I hope very well, today's is about a work which I titled: Grace, The Mystery of the Blue Forest; this is a work in which I try to capture a pretty girl immersed in a mysterious forest a little bit of free theme. In this drawing I concentrated on using blue tones in ascending scale to try something different and see if I could get a greater intensity for Grace's character.

I began to create my work by sketching a pretty girl with straight and very very long hair, almost to waist length, it was something a little delayed where I took about 15 minutes approximately to create a sketch that had a pass as a half side and a look directed fixedly as if she was watching something in the distance. Once the sketch was finished I could move on to the application of the colors starting from the skin and for which I used a somewhat sandy-pink color as a base and on this base I made strokes with the airbrush to establish certain areas such as nose, cheekbones and others.

Continuing with the application of the colors the next step was to finish establishing the volume and then blur slightly with a special brush to achieve a softness and realism in the skin that looked quite natural. As I mentioned before this was a work in which I wanted to use intense blue tones and I did it for the eyes and lips; in the eyes I made a mixture of several blues to achieve a very detailed iris and with a lot of glitter around and for the lips I applied a little colder blues to obtain a volume that looked more contrasted.

After finishing with the eyes and lips I decided to add a touch of blush on Grace's cheeks, this with the intention of highlighting even more her face and give it a much more feminine touch that could be somewhat overshadowed with the cold blue tones. Continuing with the painting the next step was the coloring of the hair and obviously I used a blue a little lighter and brighter than the previous ones, with the help of the airbrush I was creating a soft base for the hair with the intention of later using brushes on this base; with a square tip brush and a star tip brush I was creating fine strands to reach a characteristic relief of the straight hair.

At first I had the idea of adding a kind of striped dress or a tunic that would cover Grace's body, but then the idea came to me that the forest itself could cover her and I decided to paint a kind of barrier of blue roses; I liked it a lot because I thought it gave that touch of sensuality to my drawing much better than what I had in mind when I started. I was complementing that wall of roses with some blue bushes in the back of Grace along with a dense and strong mist which floats around the character.
