WEEKLY FOOD CONTEST! #1/ Chocolate Cookies. 🍫
Rich cookies for Amanda's birthday.
Hello my cute boys and girls, lovers of food and homemade goodies, this week I wanted to do something nice to make my first entry to the contest organized by my friend @alikoc07, WEEKLY FOOD CONTEST! #1. At home I like to cook everything, from simple things to more elaborated things, I also love desserts especially if they are made of chocolate, I try every week to elaborate something delicious to share with my family and with my neighbors too.
It also depends on the fruit or vegetable that is in season, for example when the auyama was inexpensive I made many auyama cakes, or when the tomato is inexpensive we make many sauces to make pizzas. But now that we are in the pandemic, I wanted to learn how to make pastries; it was something like a purpose to take advantage of the time in some project that for some reason I had not always been able to dedicate the time to really learn.
-100 grs of brown sugar
-65 grams of white sugar
-an egg
-one spoonful of vanilla
-225 grs of wheat flour
-a spoonful of cornstarch
-one tablespoon of baking powder
-one teaspoon of salt.
-150 grams of chocolate chips.
And how they are made
Pour the two types of sugar in a bowl together with the butter and mix well.
Incorporate an egg that is also at room temperature and the vanilla, integrating everything little by little.
Put a sieve in the bowl and add the cornstarch (optional), wheat flour, baking powder and again add everything.
Add the chocolate drops and mix well. I put 150 grams but if you like you can put much more.
- We form small balls and place them on a base to bake with kerosene paper or if you do not have that paper you can spread the tray with butter and wheat flour.
When we have all the balls ready we put them for an hour at the bottom of the fridge or if you want to accelerate the process place them for 10 minutes in the refrigerator.
We will put them in the oven at 180°C for 18 minutes.
***
I tell you that the result is magnificent, if you follow the steps as I have said they will be great. I think the secret is to leave the time they indicate on the fridge, so please don't skip that step.***
I love to share a lot with my friends and this time was no exception, I made these cookies to take to the party they threw for my neighbor Amanda who was turning 4 years old. Everyone was delighted with the cookies and asked me for the recipe. I hope to keep improving every day and thus keep learning more and more pastry recipes.
I want to invite you to make any activity in these times of voluntary confinement, I also invite you to participate in this fun contest, which I hope is the first of many because I love cooking and inventing in the kitchen.
Stay home and spice up life.
