Steemit Development Incentive Program : My Proposals
Steemit really needs some changes. A few days ago an initiative was taken from the Steemit team. They are trying to bring some positive change. And they asked for suggestions from all users. This is very interesting because bloggers are blogging on this platform, how they want to see, what benefits they want to take. It is wise to ask these questions from the users.
I have no idea about development. But as a user I want to see something new. Many have already written about this. Many points have been highlighted. Many have already discussed the things I wanted to change. The points I wanted to mention are:-
- Showing the number of visitors and total reach on the blog.
- Resteem with comment facility.
- Delegation mechanism directly from main wallet.
- Transaction search.
- Visibility of voting value next to voting percentage.
- Notification of incoming STEEM or SBD.
- Sending notification to all subscribers of the community by @everyone tag.
- Blue Verified Badge.
- Website Verification.
- Blacklist.
1- Showing the number of visitors and total reach on the blog.
It will be very interesting for a blogger. You will get a clear idea about what kind of visitors are coming to your content. It plays a major role in improving the quality of content. And how rich the post is, this data is very necessary for a content creator to know. Engagement matters here. One will get an idea about who has been able to promote how much, how to promote their content to reach more people. It would be a great feature if it was added to Steemit.
2- Resteem with comment facility.
We always resteem any liked content but we can't leave any comments there even if we want to. To comment use the comment box. But being able to resteem with a comment would be much brighter. I think a good social media platform should have such a feature. This system allows many people to have a nice discussion about a piece of content by resteeming it. Majority of the awards of that resteemed post can be given to main content creators here.
3- Delegation mechanism directly from main wallet.
Delegation system is very popular in Steemit platform. Almost all users are familiar with delegation. This has to be done from third party websites. I think such a popular and important feature should be added as an option in the main wallet. It will then be a user friendly feature.
4- Transaction search.
If you want to see any old transaction, you have to take the help of third-party website. Or there is no option to filter and view Steam SBD transactions separately. It is very difficult to find any desired transaction as the complete list is very large. In this case, if there is a search option in the main wallet from where any old data can be found by searching, then it is very convenient for the users.
5- Visibility of voting value next to voting percentage.
When we go to vote from steemit's page, it only shows the voting percentage, but if it also shows the voting value, it would be very useful. This would be a feature most useful for curators.
6- Notification of incoming STEEM or SBD.
It will be very interesting if the information of STEEM or SBD from somewhere is notified to the recipient through notification.
7- Sending notification to all subscribers of the community by @everyone tag.
This feature will be very useful if all members of the community need to be informed about something at once. Community messages can be easily shared among all members. Even if you don't enter the community, the community announcement will be informed you by mention notification .
My main focus is on these three topics that I will discuss now. I have been thinking about these for a long time and have been thinking that when such an opportunity arises, I will present my words. Since such an environment has been created today, I am seriously discussing these three issues.
8- Blue Verified Badge.
On various social media platforms, you will see the Verified Blue Badge symbol next to the names of distinguished people or any particular reputed users. I request to do this on Steemit platform. It has many positive sides. Big investors or honorable people will get respect. Suppose a movie maker creates an account on Steemit. After that, if he can be verified and given a verified badge, then everyone can be sure of the authenticity of the account. There will be no possibility of creating confusion about the authenticity of the account.
Blue Badge approval will be handled by the Steemit team. They will verify them with various documents in their own process. They will decide which accounts should be verified and which should not.
9-Website Verification.
A common theme is being observed while working on STEEM WATCHER. Different people are sharing blogs of different websites here but there is not enough evidence that it is their own website. In this case, there is a lot of confusion. They have to ask again. But it is troublesome. Better if someone wants to share his own website blog here then his website should be linked to the steemit account. And when he linked, his other website links will show a specific place on his Steemit profile.
If it is implemented, it can be easily detected whether this user is publishing his own blog. Many abuses can be prevented if this system is introduced.
10 - Blacklist.
Blacklist - Now last I am discussing about blacklist. I present very strongly. A request to the Steemit team (@steemitblog @steemcurator01) to look into this matter a bit more.
When an abuser is constantly abusing it is best to blacklist him. Without a system like a blacklist, abusers operate with a don't care type of attitude. This can be indicated by a specific icon next to the account to make it visible to curators .
There may be a specific account, from which account following a user will immediately fall into the blacklist category. When a specific symbol is added next to the name, the abuser must come to solve it and get back on the right track. Also this will give the curator an idea about the user.
My speech ends here. Hopefully the Steemit team will consider my points. As an ordinary user, I leave here with these requests.

For the time being, the points you mentioned should be more acceptable to everyone. I think all users are very thoughtful about these things. If these things are accepted very well by everyone and if the developers who have these, think and find the right solution, I think our platform will be more transparent and smoother for everyone.

I'd love to see this addition to the front-end. This is more of a quality-of-life feature, and if there are other front-ends out there, they likely have this feature.
As for the actual blockchain itself; There needs to be some kind of incentive for people to keep hive locked away in the Savings account. That feature is practically untouched by most users.
I think Hive had it right in creating incentives for people to hold Hive Backed Dollars. Maybe there should be something similar, not just for Steem Backed Dollars in Savings but also Steem. The interest earned in Hive Power is nice, but we need to slow down selling pressure to make Steem competitive again.
