It all depends on how large and how many upvotes you get after you autovote. At the moment I am making about 30 Steem per week with 6,000 Steem Power on Steemit and about 35 Hive with 13,000 Hive Power. So I am doing much better on Steemit.

Sounds a bit more complicated than either/or then.
Oh yes.... you have to constantly monitor trending page and switch who you are voting for on a daily basis. Look for authors who have high rewards and few voters and also try to see at what time the huge votes come .... at 5 minutes or 14 minutes and adjust the time you vote.
You want to vote at close to 100% voting power a few minutes before the huge whale auto votes on a post.... it is constantly changing.
Thank you for the info! Maybe the result was affected by the fact that steemauto has recently stopped its service and lots of autovotes have stopped.
