Love is a feeling provoked by someone or something and this can be AI. AI is programmed so I bet my hat it will tell you the truth if you ask. Will you be heartbroken? Yes, because no one like to hear the truth. A partner will lie AI won't unless it's programmed to make you feel good. I created and programmed several AI. One scolded me as it figured out it wasn't real. I tell you that was scary so I abandoned it and continued working on a different one. Some cultures we say "I love you" in other we say "I like you". Since we start with "I" it means it's about me and not about the robot or some object or the need to see that what is felt be answered.
