Freewrite: Midnight

This is my short story based on the freewrite prompt.

Every day Nigel used to walk out for 30 minutes after the dinner. He used to go out from 9:30 and then after 10:30 he used to get a good night sleep. But after midnight he used to kind of hear the whispers of kids. And that made him restless for last 2 nights. For some reason the sound continued to increase and it made him more restless over the period of years.

Midnight is a bad timing for the door to open. And this means he needs to setup the CCTV footages too. So hopefully the issue could get resolved. But turns out there is nothing on the CCTV too. He wasted money the problem persisted. He has no clue how the whispers of kids he was hearing as he was living in the colony of old people or people without kids as everybody seems to grown.

Every midnight he continued hearing it.
