A couple of days after Christmas, a package arrived from my #silvergoldstackers Secret Santa! I waited a bit to open it simply because I wanted my anticipation to build, and then too, there were image issues going on. I would not post it unless I could put pics in!

It had green tape on one side indicating that the US Customs had ‘examined’ the contents. Hmmmm….interesting! 🧐

I opened the box……..

Inside was a wooden treasure chest with a little gold bow and a scroll!

I took it out of it’s comfortable nest of bubble wrap and opened the scroll.

It reads:

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Matthew 6:19-21

I opened the treasure chest and inside……

…were gold coins! Actually chocolate gold coins! Yum! Upon closer inspection, there was more!

A stunning $10 silver coin issued by the government of Canada! It is struck by the Royal Canadian Mint and has a limited mintage.

The obverse sports the bust of Queen Elizabeth II facing towards the right.

The reverse sports a tree branch with five maple leaves. It’s beautifully done in reverse frosting and is dated with the year 2020. The coin is 15.87 grams of 99.99% pure silver. I absolutely love it!

But wait! There’s more! Also nested in the treasure chest is a Mutiny Metals 1 Troy ounce, .999 silver Doubloon! How cool is that?!

I’ve not had anything from Mutiny Metals in my stack prior to receiving this one. I like the old world pirate look of the round. It just makes you feel like it’s old even though it’s not! I love it as well!
