Pre-Caturday............. NW Cascade Wanderings

Ouch! That looks a bit prickly! Since there area we live in is considered the berry capital, it goes without saying that the birds will feed in the berry fields, which in turn creates birdie poo, which in turn means that the poo is dropped everywhere, which in turn causes wild berries to spring up everywhere! All of them are prickly, hence that first picture! However, that also is how our road has become an organic berry road! They are everywhere and boy do they produce some tasty berries! We are all anticipating a bumper crop if the flowers are any indication!

TGIF! I was glad to see the day end. Work was busy and there were lots of orders to do. Plus, today was my EDDM (every door direct mailing). We send out a large postcard to selected mail routes with what I call the ‘2-for’ sale. Two pairs of eyeglasses at a special price. This had been an annual thing up until a couple years ago. I think it will be a big hit as everyone is looking for a bargain. Creating the EDDM through the postal service website is fairly easy to do, but then you have to have your bundles of 100 cards all labeled and then lug it all to the post office! I chose to do 3 routes and it was around 1600 pieces. It’s been delivered to the post office for distribution, so the ball is in their court now. 😎
