Perfect Summer Day!............. NW Cascade Wanderings
I’ve been doing a lot of outdoor gardening lately. Today was indoor gardening day! I repotted 2 Bird of Paradise; 3 African Violets and would have done a couple more plants, but ran out of potting soil! 😏 I also used all but one of my pots so I’ve got some things I need to get. Honestly, the small tabletop greenhouse I have is getting too small. I might need to find a bigger one for expansion of my indoor garden. Hey honey, can you build a greenhouse room onto the house for me please?🙏 😘
We had decided to go on a hike today to the Gold Mine Trail, as there are fewer bugs there for some reason.
I found a ‘shroom tree!

@actifit-lamb and Penelope Piggy-lamb came along for the hike. This was Penelope Piggy-lamb’s maiden hike. She was not too sure about all the vegetation and that noisy creek with the running water in it! They chose and ancient tree root to rest on first.
Then they chose a fallen tree next to sit on as Penelope was getting a little braver! Behind where they sat on the tree, was a drop off heading straight into the creek!

A ‘pillow’ cedar tree. Notice the base? You can imagine what a slice of that tree would look like. It would make an interesting ‘live’ edge table or counter. They grow like this everywhere contrary to some folk’s belief! 😁
Hayden Creek is the water way that flows through this forest.
