Health Fair Day............. NW Cascade Wanderings
This morning, I was scheduled to be part of the Nooksack Tribal Diabetes health fair! It’s been years since I’ve done an event like this and was hoping I’d not forgotten anything. It turns out I ironically forgot a mirror, but the gals in the next station helped me out by going to the clinic and getting a couple of hand mirrors. They rescued me!
As far as I could tell, I believe I might have been the only non-tribal provider there. To further explain that-all of the others are part of the Tribal Health center; the vision clinic is not. I felt kind of honored and they welcomed me graciously!
I saw quite a few folks I knew and met many new faces! I had taken my work computer along as was able to book appointments for eye exams. I encountered over 50 folks. The turnout was somewhat minimal, but I also heard some folks saying they didn’t get the word out soon enough. Nonetheless, I was pleased with the exposure for the clinic and the chance to meet new people!
There was a trio of Storey Tellers.
They told us four stories amongst them but before that, a song was sung. Unfortunately, I can’t add it to the post because 3Speak apparently is still down. 🙄
Here’s a screenshot from the video.
It was a nice day.
On the coffee bean front-STILL NO delivery! I haven’t called again yet. I’m trying to decide whether to call FedEx or the company I purchased from. Why is this so hard?! 🙄
Tomorrow is midweek for my workweek this time. I’m already looking for Friday!
That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and have a blessed rest of your day! 🙏🌎🙏

Mary asked the angel, “But how can this happen? I am a virgin.”
The angel replied, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God. What’s more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she has conceived a son and is now in her sixth month. For the word of God will never fail.”
Mary responded, “I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true.” And then the angel left her.
