Coffee Anyone?!............. NW Cascade Wanderings

My first thing on the to do list today was roasting coffee. I had two customers; one in Rhode Island who wanted 4 pounds, and another about 50 miles down I-5 from us, wanted six pounds. That makes for a busy roasting schedule! Each roast takes about 13 minutes-we roast one pound at a time. We have two commercial tabletop roasters that do a wonderful job. In between roasts, you have to clean the machines and the glass carafes so it’s really about 20 minutes per pound in the end. We also bag and seal each pound. I do the starting and retrieving as well as the bagging of the coffee. I clean the probes on the machines while @silvertop cleans the balance of them. We work well together. 😎

Here’s a pic of the roasted coffee.

When this was finished and packed for shipping, we had a bite of lunch and headed to the post office. The customer down south of us could perhaps see his coffee tomorrow and the other one in about 3-4 days. They’ve been customers since 2013!

When we got back from the post office, we set out for a hike. Jan came with.

I found a couple of treasures along the way.

Then, we could catch glimpses of what looks like a spectacular sunset. Too bad we couldn’t see the entire thing, but what I did capture was very pretty!

Simply beautiful!🤩 Today is the first Monday in a long while that I didn’t work on clinic stuff. It was nice!😊

That’s gonna be it for now. Take care and enjoy your day wherever you are! 🙏🇮🇱🇺🇦
