Hello Everyone!!!

I hope you all are good and enjoying your lives. First of all, I would like to congratulate @ngoenyi and @genomil for organising these productive courses. I'm taking this course to improve my health that I have lost during the last 3 years.

I'm very excited to join this course and start doing workouts today. I wanted to start from day one, but due to the very busy schedule of this week, I couldn't, so last but not least, I started working out and got enrolled in a gym near my house.

As I'm serious about getting good health and want to reduce my weight that increased up to 16 kg in the last 2 years, I'm giving answers to the questions in the course.

1.-Age

I'm 44 years old , I'm healthy alhumdulilah but lazy woman due to my weight.

2.- Weight

My weight is 86 kg today , which fluctuate 2kg less or more after few days, may be due to bloating .

3.- Height

I'm 5feet 4inch in height. I don't look too fat as my body is not round shaped.

4.- Sex

Female

5.- BMI

BMI For my calculations;

BMI = weight/(height (cm))^2
My weight = 86 Kg
My height is 5.4 feet which is 1.645m or 164.5cm

BMI = 86/ (1.645m)²
BMI = 86/ (2.7 m)
BMI = 31.8

BIMBody condition
Less than 18.5❌ underweight
18.5 to 24.9❌ Normal
25.0 to 29.9❌ overweight
Greater than 29.9✅️ Obese

Im in category of obese people.

6.- Waist measurements

My waist is 40 inches.

7.- Do you suffer from any illness? Which one?

I was suffering from licanplance, an auto immune disorder, so I get antiallergies, steroids, antidepressants, and anxiety medicine. Prolonged use of antiallergies and antidepressants made me lazy, and due to my lazy lifestyle, intake of steroids increased my weight up to 20 kg.

I was in pain, so I didn't care about my weight; I wanted to get rid of my problem.
Now I'm facing problems that are related to obesity.

Start of osteoarthritis, a type of joint disease caused by breakdown of joint cartilage, so knee pain, low quality of life, Mental illnesses such as clinical depression, anxiety, and others
Body pains and difficulties.

These all are nothing if I reduce my weight. I reduced my 4-5 kg weight just by avoiding the medicine that I used. My above-mentioned problems reduce to half, so I'll improve my health one day, InshaAllah. My doctor advised reducing your weight as much as you can; you'll be free from all the above problems.

8.- Do you do exercise? How many days per week? How many minutes per day?

My lifestyle has been very bad for several months. I don't do any kind of exercise on a daily basis. One or twice a week, I walk for 20-30 minutes.

Before my health problems, I was very active. I live on the 4th floor, and I go upstairs and downstairs twice or three times a day. Do walk for 30 minutes at home or out door. Some stretches are not proper exercise, but do some basic to make the body calm.

Now, I'm not consistent with doing any kind of exercise; I started for a few days and stopped. I hope I will continue my health-restoring journey with you guys. Today was my first day at the gym, where I did some cardio and some stretches.

Cardio

  • I did brisk walk for 20 min
  • Cycling for 10 min
  • jumping jack just 20
  • used elptical for 15 min

These are my first day cardic exercise that was done on instructions of gym trainer. When my body used to of these then I'll increases time of each exercise and will add more .

Stretches

At the gym, photography is not allowed, so I can't take more pictures. The trainer explains some stretches to reduce belly fat and love handles. I'm starting to twister in the picture. It has 3 more parts from where different stretches can be done easily. Gym trainer also trains ladies for mate exercise or aerobics, but I don't do more. As I mentioned above, I have knee pain.

Total I spent 55-65 minutes today doing different exercises. Im feeling fresh today. My knee has pain that will be fine, InshaAllah, till next day.

9.- What time does it suit you to exercise?

I think morning time is best for doing exercise. As all family members are at school or at work, I have enough time for myself if I use it in productive ways.

I will start a morning walk tomorrow and will go to the gym for exercise in the evening with my son. This time my son is my companion, and he'll force me to go to the gym regularly.

What do you plan to achieve through this training plan?

I have joined this training plan with sincerity, and I want my health and beauty back. I couldn't start at home from the first day (Monday), so I joined a gym to track my health.

I don't set any big targets for myself; I want to change my lifestyle to a healthy one. I want to reduce my weight by 4-5 kg during these 6 weeks. This is not a big deal; only one thing that I have to do is consistency.

I hope I can do what I have planned. You guys just motivate me to follow a healthy lifestyle. At the end, I would like to invite @dove11, @sualeha, and @aaliarubab for the contest.

To be honest, looking at your photos you don't look like 84 kg. I am glad you are now trying to improve your health by following this blog. My best wishes to you, take care of your health.

Yes, I also said the same that despite your weight, you look normal. But I suggest you should concentrate on workouts to maintain your weight. My best wishes.

So sorry about your health ma'am. It's actually common for most people not to be intentional about exercise but also good to see you have a change of mind. I hope with these, you'll be able to improve in your health. As for the disease you have, I'm short of words but my encouragement is that it can be suppressed and you've given a first step through this Fitness. I have experiences of those who through fitness and healthy living were able to put their problems temporarily behind bars. Wishing you best of luck
