My Fitness Daily Routine || 08/11/24 || Dancing My Way To Fitness 💪🏾🕺🏾.

Hello fitness enthusiast💪🏾! It's another day to highlight in words, pictures and videos about my today's fitness routine with stayfit fitness club of which @ngoenyi still remains our able coach. Hope you guys enjoyed the short clip of that dancing video of me, my coach and other stayfit members dancing our way to fitness? Today is always a remarkable day at stayfit. Realizing that dancing is part of exercise, we incorporate it into our Friday fitness routine. In today's fitness post, I'll highlight:
- The exercises we did.
- The execution method.
- Video clips of our dancing videos.
I arrived at the training ground at 7am, slightly delayed due to household chores. Upon arrival, I joined my fitness coach and fellow teammates. We initiated our warm-up routine, retrieving our stepboards from storage. With clear instructions from our coach, we assumed our positions and commenced today's comprehensive fitness training.
Side Stationary Lunges
Side stationary lunges was one of the exercise we did today. To execute this program properly, below are the following steps to follow:
- Stand beside a stepboard with one foot on the board, facing forward (e.g., right foot).
- Bend the leg on the stepboard (right knee) into a lunge position.
- Extend the other leg (left) straight sideways, away from the stepboard.
- Slowly lower your body down into a seated position, keeping your back straight.
- Hold for 1-2 seconds.
- Push through the front heel to return to standing position.
- Switch legs and repeat.
We performed the stationary side lunges exercise in sync with the Tabata song. When the music paused, we halted the lunge motion and swiftly switched legs. We completed approximately 10 repetitions per leg, totaling 20 repetitions. After completing six rounds, we took a break during round seven for recovery and rehydration. Following the break, we resumed and finished the exercise.
Step-Ups
Step-ups was one of the exercise we did today. To execute this program properly, below are the following steps to follow:
- Stand in front of a stepboard with one foot on the floor and the other foot on the stepboard.
- Ensure the stepboard is securely positioned and at a comfortable height.
- Step up with the foot on the floor (e.g right ) onto the stepboard.
- Bring the other foot (e.g left) onto the stepboard when dropping the right foot on the floor.
- Then mimick a slow pace running motion.
I found this exercise surprisingly enjoyable, fueled by the energetic beats of the music. I effortlessly completed 2 sets of 15 repetitions, feeling invigorated and prepared for the next challenge.
Step-up Knee Tuck
Step-up knee tuck was one of the exercise we did today. To execute this program properly, below are the following steps to follow:
- Stand in front of a stepboard with one foot on the floor and the other foot on the stepboard.
- Keep your knee straight while lifting the leg on the floor up to abdomeninal level.
- Simultaneously, lift your arms up overhead.
- As you lower your leg back down, your hands should be up.
- As you're lowering down your hands, you knee should remain at your abdominal level.
- Repeat with the other leg.
This exercise is a staple in my favorite workout routine. Despite the intense challenge, I always find ways to make it enjoyable. We incorporated Tabata timing, pausing and switching legs whenever the music signaled to stop. The energetic beats and interval training added an extra layer of excitement.

Today was an exceptional day at StayFit Fitness Club. The energy was electric, and everyone's spirits were lifted by the infectious music streamed from @bossj23's smartphone. We had the opportunity to partner up and dance together, creating an unforgettable experience. The group's collective enthusiasm made for a truly remarkable day. I must confess, it was one of our best sessions yet. Remember, every step you take is a dance. Make movement a part of your daily routine and embrace a healthy and happy life.
