The Food Diary Game | Season 9 | May 11th - 2022 | #Club100 | Palmiers

Hi, dear Steemians and SteemFoodies :)

Hope you're all doing well. I'm sharing my Day 11 of The Food Diary Game, Season 9, from the #SteemFoods community, led by @steemitfoods and @alikoc07. 10% of the rewards from this post will go to @sf-charity, so that I can help good deeds happen and help this great Community grow.

My food-day started with a big cup of coffee. I woke up before six and full of energy, and after my first coffee, I was ready to fly. To much to do today.

We had breakfast at 8 a.m. or so. I made arepas with cornmeal and oat flakes, and a mozzarella and bacon omelette.

Below you can see the arepas which dough I made with 1 cup of cornmeal+ 2 cups of water + 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 cup of oat flakes.

I beat 4 eggs a pinch of salt and fried bacon and poured the mixture into the hot frying pan. When the it was half cooked, I added the mozzarella cheese.

I served breakfast in the kitchen.

Below you can see my plate. Notice that today I was actually able to close the edges of the omelette XD

Lunch was the fastest lunch ever. I had to go out to visit a café so I could make a post for the Engagement Challenge, so I fired smoke chops and roasted eggplant slices with oregano and salt. Simple and a delight.

I visited Sensi, café (& bar, as I discovered once there) near my house. I treated my comadre a café espresso affogato, which is basically a hot espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that you have to save because it's drowning XD I had a frappuccino (on the right).

We accompanied our coffee with French palmier cookies, a crispy puff pastry cookie very popular in Venezuela. These were made of very crispy puff pastry.

I paid approx. $10 or 50 Steems.

After that, I went to the mini market across the street and bough some ham and cheese, and other things I needed.

Here I paid approx. $24 or 124 Steems.

We ate dinner at 8 p.m. while we were watching Pasapalabra. It was pita bread and chorifrito sausages + some vegetables and yogurt sauce.

I also had a cold beer.

These were the highlights of my food-day.

Hola amiga,que buen comienzo para activar todas esas energías con esa taza de café... Además de un nutritivo desayuno, me encantó lo de las arepas con hojuelas de avena, voy a tener que intentarlo... Ese frapuccino se ve delicioso, con esas palmeritas ... Execelente día lleno de alimentos y compras bendecidas amiga! Saludos 🤗

Las arepas de avena sin riquísimas. Yo les pongo bastantes hojuelas. Lo ideal es ponerlas después que la masa se haya hidratado, para que no se hidraten.

Señora Marlyn sin duda, todo absolutamente todo lo mostrado en este dia es delicioso. En especial, esas palmeritas que me haces recordar aue tengo tiempo sin comer

Esa palmeritas estaban excepcionalmente buenas, muy crujientes y suaves, como debe ser el hojaldre, que se deshace en la boca.

Amiga con esa tortilla quién va a querer o otra cosa.
Sabes que en estos días me enteré como se hacen las palmeritas, es un trabajo bien laborioso , dije que la próxima vez actuando la comiera iba a disfrutar cada bocado.

Yo tenía una cuñada que las hacía muy bien. Usaba mantequilla; nada de manteca. Y recuerdo que entraba al taller a las 6 de la mañana y salía a las 2 de la tarde. Es un trabajón. En Sensi estaban excelentes, aunque el regusto no era de mantequilla sino de manteca vegetal.
La tortilla estaba buena :D

Ese helado se ve demasiado provocativo.
Tu dia fue muy activo, en cuanto a degustar se refiere, je je .

La Polar negrita me encanta. Lo malo del tercio en este clima caluroso es que la última cuarta parte se calienta antes de que la termines.

El helado del affogato estaba rico; sabía al merengue de las heladerías de hace 40 años, cuando no se usaban esencias falsas sino ingredientes naturales.
