Steemfoods: Paniudto sa Pobreng Uyamot (A Poor Man's Meal)
Our meal for today. Fried fish and patties (a mixture of egg and leftover meatloaf) which I fried. And a bunch of banana to complete the meal.
It's lunch time again! Bought some fish locally called as "Bilong-bilong" yesterday and we still have two pieces left so I decided to fried them for lunch today.
A simple and easy dish without so many procedure because well I can't cook complicated dish :)
To make the fried fish more appetizing, you have to make the right sawsawan to dip the fish with. Our favorite fried fish pair is soy sauce with tomatoes and a half onion sliced into small pieces.
It will be perfect with a squeeze of kalamansi but I only found some chillies so I chop some and added them to the sawsawan (soysauce dip).
For the rice, we cooked corn rice (a popular alternative to rice here in the province). We prefer the #12 variety which is more smaller and with finer grains compared to the #10 variety which is more rough and bigger in size.
Here it is! The best eaten while hot. Most local preferred this kind of rice (compared to white rice) with dishes like halang-halang (spicy pork or beef or chicken) meat soup often with animal entrails and tinola (Chicken soap) and many other local dishes.

Hi @bien yes I'm very much thankful.. it is my favorite fish afterall :D I am referring to the corn rice as Poor Man's alternative to Rice because it is much cheaper than the regular rice and mostly consume only by people in the provinces and generally by poor people. I actually preferred corn rice compared to regular one and because it is a lot healthier.
