"Fish in Miso Soup" My Japanese Version of Fish Tinola.

I am a newcomer in this platform. This is my first post in SteemFoods community. Allow me to introduce my one of a kind favorite "Fish in Miso Soup".
It's Sunday today, early this morning I went to a morning market near us. It is located in front of a Station called " Hachinohe EK Station", Here in Japan to buy some stuffs. Mole fish got my attention. It was still alive that time when I bought it for 500 yen( 5 USD). In my mind it is perfect viand for today, specially this time the weather in Japan is still cold. We need to have some soup to warm our stomach. This is very famous soup recipe in my country the Philippines.
This is perfect to start my Sunday!
Ingredients:
2 bunches of pechay
1/2 cut radish
1 small ginger
2 big tomatoes
3 cloves of garlic
4 pcs of pepper
3 teaspoon of miso
2 teaspoon of cooking oil
1 teaspoon of salt
pinch of ajinomoto
1 liter of water
Fish Preparation;
- Remove the scales of fish with a knife or scale remover.
- Pull out the intestines.
- Cut the fins with a scissor.
- Massage the fish with salt.
- Wash the fish 3 times and rinse well.
- Cut the fish into your desired size.
Vegetables Preparation
- Wash all the vegetables.
- Peel the onion, garlic, and ginger. Cut into pieces together with pepper and put in a plate together.
- Slice tomato and put in a separate bowl.
- Peel radish and cut into cubes.
- Cut the pechay about 4 cm.
Cooking Procedures
- Heat the cooking oil in a large pot.
- Saute the chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and pepper.
- Add the tomatoes and combine in together about a minute.
- Add 1 liter of water and let it boil. Remove the scums.
- Add the radish and cook for 1 minute.
- Add fish and cook for another 3 minutes.
- While waiting for 3 minutes, prepare the miso paste and blend it in a bowl of hot water.
- After 3 minutes. Add the pechay.
- Season it salt and ajinomoto.
- Pour the miso mixture and done.
