Hello steemian friends, greetings from the Philippines.

Allow me to introduce one of the traditional cuisine that we usually have during snack time.

Sweetened Coconut Rice "BIKO"

This delicacy is very tradional because of the ingredients and one of the Philippines' most of sought snack. Since the preparation of this food may take upto an hour patience in truly appreciated.

The Process...

First, we have to cook the coconut milk and sugar in a large pan until it becomes slimy. This process took several minutes depending on the coconut milk's quantity. In this case, we used two coconut to milk and it took 35 minutes before it becomes slimy. While cooking the sweet sauce, make sure your rice is readyily cooked.

The next thing to do is to mixed the rice and the swetened coconut milk altogether. Make sure there every bit of the rice is covered with the sauce. This is now ready to serve, the best time to eat it is when it is freshly cooked. You may want to eat the crunchy overcooked rice and dip it to the sweet coconut sauce.

This food is easily purchased in stores for snacks and it is always present during All Souls and All Saints day in the Philippines.
