Simple Pour Over CoffeesteemCreated with Sketch.

Pour over is the trend of the decade. All it means is you have a tablesppon or so of coffee in a filter, and pour hot water over it.

Most people buy a special filter holder, and filters, but I found these industrial restaurant size filters at the thrift store for $3. The package was opened, so maybe 100 of them were missing. I didn't care, because it was a package of 1000 filters.

To make the "pour over", I use a funnel, and fold the big filter to fit. 1-2T of coffee, and slowly drip the hot water into it.

To make it more dramatic, like this photo I took, put sugar and milk in the bottom of the cup, and let the hot coffee drip onto the cold milk. (Also, use a image filter to make it look more dramatic and brown!)

You can also use condensed milk. I used a Vietnamese style roast, and it was delicious.

You can also get a special Vietnamese style filter, but I find this funnel is easier.

If you want a stronger brew, you can pass the coffee back through the grounds and get all the juice out.

If you want the maximum caffeine, take the used filter with grounds, put a clothespin across the top to seal it up, and then dip the "bag" into the hot coffee. Let it steep a few minutes. This will get you completely wired.
