Food as a basic need.

Each one of us is called to contribute in some way to make this world better. In the process of trying to fulfill this commission, we recognise that most human needs are interrelated. We realise that before some needs are met, our efforts towards fulfillment of other needs may be insufficient, inefficient or ineffective.

We accept to be diverted a bit. Yet, properly speaking, this is not diversion but a way of enabling the grand mission to be fulfilled. The Revealer of spiritual realities recognises the need for physical food.

Food is such a basic need that seems to affect whether, and how, we seek and accept the fulfillment of other needs. Thus, it's possible to look at the one who provides it in a better light than if they were to provide for other needs. We might even crown them kings (and force them to accept the crown).

They will provide just enough food for the people to hint at the crown, to make enough noise to legitimise them when they grab it. In a way, one may thus be prevented from fulfilling their higher mission by falling for such popular acclaim.

Yet, this is not just externally imposed. Sometimes, the providers of the food may start looking at themselves as kings! Success in an area of influence, for example, is deceptively interpreted as potential success in another, with no regard for one's higher mission.
