Today is the 18th day of Ramadan and after 12 days I will hold my last fast. Today I prepared a great menu for iftar again and as an extra I bought a fun birthday cake for a close friend, I will share all the details with you below.
I prepared my first meal of the day at 03:45. Those who viewed my previous The Food Diary Game post noticed that I prepared soup during Ramadan as the first meal of the day. I prepared red lentil soup the other day, today I prepared "Tarhana" soup, which has a unique name in Turkey. I am sure that many of our users have just heard of Tarhana soup, it is one of the common soup types prepared especially in Central Asia.
It is formed by blending products such as yoghurt, dried mint, wheat flour, dried red pepper, green pepper and pulverizing. It is sold in powder form (as in instant soup) in many supermarkets. I practically prepared this soup by combining only 5 glasses of water and the tarhana I bought. 🙂 It tastes great, I can say that it is a kind of soup that is loved by those who love hot, only because it has dried red pepper in it..
I mentioned that I fasted for about 15 hours, so I usually prefer to prepare several different dishes for iftar. I haven't prepared fries for a long time, I'm not usually someone who cooks a lot of fries. Frying isn't very good for health, but I think almost everyone loves the fries + ketchup + mayonnaise trio, so I missed this trio, so I deep-fried my favorite vegetables, zucchini + green peppers and potatoes, with as little oil as possible.
Optionally, a sauce can be prepared with yoghurt for green zucchini, but I did not prefer it.
The 3rd meal of my day is pita with green pepper + beef sausage + grated white cheese. Previously, I told you that I prepared pita with beef sausage + cheddar in a The Food Diary Game post. Pita is both delicious and nutritious and one of the best meals I love to prepare during Ramadan. It is great to consume, especially with the soup I prepared at night. After you prepare your pita dough, you can add the products you want on your pita, and finally, brush an egg on it and prepare this pita in the oven at 200 degrees in 30 minutes.
After I cut the pitas I prepared, I added them to a tray as below. 🙂
Today I bought 300 grams of cold baklava from the patisserie for dessert. In some of my previous posts, I bought the cold baklava, which is the other version of the local baklava prepared with green pistachio + sherbet and loved by many people + tourists in Turkey, from the patisserie. The kilogram price of this baklava varies between 25 STEEM and 30 STEEM, 300 grams was enough for me as I live alone. I can say that its difference compared to normal baklava is that it uses cocoa + milk in sherbet and it is kept cold.
Today is the birthday of one of my closest friends, normally my friend's birthday is the next day, but he said that he will spend time with his girlfriend on his birthday, not with our group of friends. After 00:00 tonight, we surprised him and bought a birthday cake and went to his house. On the birthday cake, we bought a cake decoration consisting of the words "My dear, my love", which is one of the words he says most to his girlfriend. 😃 We made a reference to him like this…

Hello friend @ alikoc07, as always, a very detailed information about your food, I am glad that you have fulfilled all your fasts and whether this day, April 19, is your last fast for Ramadan.
I had already told you that it is very good to start your meals with soup, after fasting it is very favorable for your stomach. I am sure that you have enjoyed your Tarhan Soup. It is good to know that it is a typical dish in Central Asia.
Eating vegetables is also very favorable and this combination of green zucchini + green pepper + French fries looks very tasty on a plate. Although most like fries + ketchup.
I loved seeing the detail of the cake for your friend and adding those words that have great meaning for him and his girlfriend.

It was my close friend's birthday, he normally celebrates with us every year, but this year he preferred to celebrate with his girlfriend, so I bought his a cake decoration with compliments to his girlfriend like "My Love, My Sweetheart" and added it to the cake. 😃 🎂
After 13 days, I will stop fasting, the month of Ramadan will end. 🙂

Puedo decir que comí pastel por primera vez en Ramadán, pero hoy era el cumpleaños de mi mejor amiga, así que le compramos un pastel sorpresa con sabor a frambuesa con mi amiga.
¿Cuál es tu tipo de pastel favorito? Las tartas de frutas tropicales son mis favoritas... 🍓🥝🍌

Me alegra que te guste el baklava frío, hay pistacho verde en el baklava frío. Como extra, el almíbar se prepara con leche, así que está buenísimo. Comparado con otros baklavas, tiene detalles de cacao.
Quizás si organizo un concurso de helados pronto, puedas hacer una gran receta de helado. 😃

Now I understand more your explanation of baklava; the name is generic, and so we find many types. I should love trying this cold baklava ❤️💯 I make fries often but air-fried and I seldom use ketchup or mayo; I'm glad you can enjoy your fries with veggies and the whole feast. The pita looks fantastic.

The cake is raspberry flavored and I bought it for my best friend's birthday. Do you like raspberry flavored cake? There were strawberries on it and in it as an extra... 🍓🍰
I havent tasted it yet dear. Most and common cakes here in Philippines are chocolate, ube and chiffon. Not like yours i guess its too expensive
This cake is not very expensive, you can buy it for about 15 STEEM. For smaller sizes, it will be enough to pay 5 STEEM. 🙂

Yes, nowadays people like to give a surprise cake at midnight on birthdays, but the drawback is we can't invite many people because of keeping it a secret, I also gave the surprise to my husband on his birthday and made videos calls to gather people on the event. Hop your friends also enjoyed the moment. A very good food diary from your side.
Interesante tu menú de hoy, las verduras se ven ricas también me gusta mucho el calabacín, llamó mi atención el pan pita se ve muy rico, la salchicha le debe dar un toque especial, junto con el queso y los pimientos.
