In the National Garden of Greece!!

Hello my friends. In this post I will show you some photos which I captured at the national garden of Greece. I go very often there in order to walk my dog and relax in the green area of the Garden where I always capture beautiful photos of nature, animals and other objects which are showing up in front of my eyes.

The National Garden of Greece is located in the center of Athens, right next to the Greek Parliament. It is a huge green park where you see very tall trees, animals, beautiful buildings and carefree people walking around and enjoying nature in a green oasis so close to the bustling city center. These photos are from the last time I visited this green park, and I am happy to share them with you today. :)

Entering the park the first interesting thing I came across, was this statue and I couldn't resist taking a picture of it. Later I searched about it and I learned that it is the bust of the poet Jean Moreau and made by the sculptor E.A. Bourdelle.

Walking deeper in the garden I came across a small artificial pond which has a small wooden bridge that you can cross above it. I captured a picture of it as the green color from the mold at the bottom of the lake, the green trees and the small wooden bridge composed a very beautiful photo. There I also met some ducks and I captured a portrait of one of them.

Also, every time I visit this park I meet many dogs with their owners or the dogs that live inside the park. That day I was intrigued by two dogs, The first one was a half-blood stray, which the park staff cared for and the other was a Tibetan mastiff. The distinction is huge because the first is a poor stray dog and the other belongs to a very expensive and rare breed. The owner of the second dog informed me that he sold four apartments to buy it. In my opinion both dogs are beautiful.

In the national garden you can find dozens of trees with citrus aurantium. It is a fruit that looks like mandarin but is very bitter and is usually eaten as a stewed fruit dessert. Due to its bitterness, no one eats it and the whole Athens is full of fallen citrus aurantiums. I photographed this young fruit at that moment while it was still alive shortly before it matured and fell to the ground to disintegrate.

Ancient marbles on the floor, I'm not surprised at all, everywhere in Greece you see them scattered to adorn the landscape. In the past, this spot was the garden of the royal palace I think they have remained from that time. Once again I didn't waste time and took some pictures.

Leaving national garden to the way home, I meet Zappeion. An imposing building that is intertwined with the history of modern Greece. It was built in 1888 and today serves as an exhibition space and hosts conferences. I love its architecture and I've photographed it many times.
